I visited here on a lovely warm, sunny, Sunday afternoon. The gardens are very well maintained without being fussy. By that I mean the plants and grass grow as intended and are not cut and pruned to be something they aren't. It is a nice size for walking around, not too big and not too small. There are a wide... Given the quality and size of these gardens it's hard to believe they are free. Extremely peaceful to sit in, plenty of benches! I would recommend taking some food/drink with you as there are limited places to do so, however with the tram stop being so close to the gardens (literally outside the gate) this is not a problem at... We went to the botanical gardens after a trip on the cable cars, as it is just across the road. It is also very close to the zoo! To get there we caught the land train from the Dom, and went on the green route/line! The gardens are enormous with a large variety of trees, bushes, flowers and lakes water features... More

We visited here on a very hot day, in the 30s!! Beautiful plants and flowers, and green house type buildings. A really enjoyable day, take a picnic and totally chill out!!

It's okay if you have nothing else to do I guess. We went there for a relaxing afternoon, but soon we found out you couldn't sit anywhere on the grass. Most of the benches were taken, only place to sit is at the crowded café. Nice for a short walk. To bad you can't enjoy the park lying in the... More

Beautiful tranquil gardens next to the zoo and a step away from the cable car. A lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Took a book to read and found it wonderful and peaceful.

We had an enjoyable stroll through these lovely gardens. They are well-organized and colorful. They provided nice shade during the heat of the day.

Super nice gardens! Water/lake/fountains.. Lots of birds, frogs in ponds even big fishes :) Bring lunch or eat there in the nice restaurant terrace! Or simply walk and have a nap and relax! Bonus: it's free!

You might think I'm being over the top but for free, it's definitely worth it. Such beautiful grounds

It'sparadise for me here. There are always different plants and flowers abound the year. There are very old and rare trees from the world. The design of the garden is also very good. The best thing is that it is for free.
