The entrance is free and there were not many people there on a Sunday morning in September. There are trees from all over and lots of flowers of all sorts, more than I expected at this time of year. The landscaping is lovely and there were funny sculptures in a number of locations that blended into the garden. There are... More

If you had enough of the busy city life for a little while and want to relax and enjoy nature just outside the city centre, the botanical is the perfect place to go. We went a little late (september), but it was still a pleasure to walk through the gardens and enjoy the flora. It's a perfect place to relax... More

Amazing display of gorgeous flowers and fauna. Walk through paths by beautiful and unique trees. Also in amongst are amusing statues of people posed enjoying a water, fall or swim. Worth a visit and admission is free!

Go now and see the slightly bigger than life sized amusing sculptures in the gardens, from the ladies hanging out their washing and having a good gossip, to the man taking a photograph of his friends. The main reason of course is to see the flowers and plants which are very good indeed. We went when the worlds largest flower... More

Wandering walk ways, varied plants, places to sit and just enjoy the nature in the city. The Flora is free and open late so if you just have the time go and have a calm moment there.

Next to the zoo this quite old fashioned garden is beautifully maintained with flower beds, glass houses, fountains and lakes. The botanical gardens of Cologne have a lot to offer. Greenhouses with succulents and tropical vegetation, delightful walkways through flower patches and lovely little parks here and there provide a beautiful setting for a day out well spent.
