I had a couple hours to spare until my train and was searching for something to do when i read this website through a google search. Weird how it was not mentioned in my 2 excellent guidebooks, also in the website tripadvisor references to http://www.museenkoeln.de it is noted only in the german version NOT the english one! We stayed in a hotel just few steps ahead and found out this "museum" right on the place, just passing by to the centre. We stopped by and wanted just to have a look. After all we stayed there for two hours (the permanent exposition) and it was really worth it! It's very well done. If i knew german it'd... more

My wife and I were in Cologne last June and decided to visit the museum. I had done a little research before we went and knew they had self-guided audio tours in English. Well worth a visit. Hard to imagine what it was like during those dark years, for the people who were trapped. Forgotten then,but not forgotten now ! more
