The cathedral has to be seen to be believed. However, it seemed constantly busy and so the it is hard to feel and absorb the peace of the sacred space.

After Milan's Duomo, and St. Peters of the Vatican, this is one of the greatest church to admire. There are English tours at 10:30 am, you simply show up and pay the tour guide. The tour made it meaningful on many objects and subject matters associated with the history of this cathedral.

A really spectacular place to visit. It's very easy to get to as its located directly next to the central railway station (Köln Hbf). There are several attractions inside. As long as there isn't a service taking place, you're free to wander around the Cathedral and marvel at the architecture, stained glass windows and treasury. There's also the basement of... More

Of course it's everything you imagined. Stunning. I have not experienced such a beautiful place of worship over run by camera wielding tourists before so that was a bit of a shock hearing teenagers carrying on, people clicking away, people calling out etc. I would recommend the Cathedral demand a higher level of respect and quiteness from visitors. The Cathedral... More

This is a beautiful sight to see. It's free and amazing to wander around, it only took us about 20 minutes but it's in the centre of town and well worth a look.

It's a very beautiful church. Ladies need to wear scarves when entering the site. Beautiful surroundings add to its gorgeousness. When inside, the vast space, beautiful architecture and the overall atmosphere is simply mind-blowing. You need to experience this must-see.

It's a must see in Cologne! The dom is very impressive when you get out of the train station! The view at the top is amazing and the climbing is really cool! You must take the time to climb at the top of the dom if you're going to Cologne!

Beautiful exterior and interior. You can visit this cathedral in under an hour. I didn't take the steps to the top, but some of the people in our group did and said it was worth the time. It does cost a few Euros to climb to the top, but looking around the cathedral is free.

We arrived at the Cathedral in the late afternoon and it was a perfect time since most of the large tour groups had already left the area. The inside is really nice and the history if very interesting.
