With the park surrounded on all sides by busy roads, it's not really the place to go for quiet and solitude. However, if you do want to just spend 20 mins wandering amongst some trees and flowers then it would be highly recommended.

Nice garden with several hundreds of species. It is open to the public and belongs to the University of Bonn.Once it was a park surrounding the Poppeldorf palace which was used for hunting. It is a home to a very rare plant with the biggest blossom in the world,Titan Arum which is blooming occasionally and is originating from Indonesia's rain... More

Stunning relaxing and well maintained. Fancy a quiet afternoon? I recommend this. It's maintained by the university. This will not let you down.

Visited the garden in June. It is a small garden with a good variety of plants and trees but not too many. There were a couple of nice palm trees and a good collection of roses. Not a very touristy place though.

This is a really pretty, really affordable botanical garden with some lovely displays both in the general grounds and in the greenhouses. Highly recommended.

The garden is maintained by the university and it has an academic emphasis with areas devoted to plants of a particular type or part of the world and detailed labelling, but it is well worth a visit by anyone . The hot summer this year meant that most of the flowers had long since finished so there was some lack... More

The garden is beautiful and quiet. You can go there with small children or with your significant other. There are amazing tall trees, colorful flowers and any other kind of plants that you can think of. At some points we saw some squirrels and we started chasing them for a picture, unfortunately all of the pictures were blurry. It was... More

It's a quite place to relax with nature's sounds and with beautiful views of trees, water and palace. A must see frog between the water lilies.

It's no surprise you'd find lots of different species in any botanical garden. What amazed me was the tropical "collection" from South America, Cacti, water plants, etc. You cannot enjoy it if you don't appreciate nature.
