I think it is amazing. I loved every minute of it. To see where the "Master" was born was quite a treat!! The original instruments were amazing and some of the written historical work was amazing to see. We spent 2 hours there and the time just whizzed by.

Beethoven's birth house was small, and packed with interesting artefacts. The interactive opera was fun.

This is a cute place and worth a quick visit. But this is just where Beethoven grew up ... not where he composed anything. It's nice, but not of major importance.

Let me start by strongly advising - GET THE AUDIO GUIDE!!! It was 2.50 euros to rent each unit with a 10 euro/unit deposit refundable upon return and so well worth the price. The English audio guide is extremely informative and well-narrated by a clear British voice. The house is sparsely furnished - more of a museum with cabinets, showcases,... More

That this is one of the major tourist attractions in Bonn may say more about Bonn than about the museum. But it's definitely worth a visit -- it's not too large or busy, and the collection and history behind the building and how it became a museum is definitely noteworthy. I love the 18th-century hearing aids they have collected, and... More

We wandered in here about an hour before closing one evening and enjoyed strolling through the halls and rooms where Beethoven was born and spent his early years. They do a good job of telling the story of his life from birth to death (including presentation of his death masks) and are clear when pieces are original or copies. We... More

This is a well presented collection of artifacts related to Beethoven, housed in the building where he was born. I definitely recommend having the audio guide, this adds a lot to the displays and includes a number of musical items, some played on the instruments displayed. A must for lovers of classical music.

As a piano player I grew up listening to and playing Beethoven. The museum houses a very interesting collection of artifacts and tells the story of Beethoven's life. See excerpts of his compositions as he developed them. Wonder over the paintings and sketches of him. Listen to an audio tour available for rental. The gift shop has an excellent selection... More

It wasn't hard to find Beethoven's house as the signs will lead you to his place. A simple house in a simple community. Glad to learn more about Beethoven's childhood in Bonn. It's a short tour around the house and seeing the life and works of the master. You are able to listen to numerous pieces he composed. No picture... More
