From the moment when Beethoven was born, when taken to the room where he born, an amazing journey to walk through his home and be shown the highlights of his life. Equipped with a pamphlet, detailing the displays in every room, or if listening by audio the audience walk side by side with him. The computer room is what I... More

Cute house packed with interesting articles. I took a group of American students and they thought it was awesome to see this museum.

Looking around the birthplace of Beethoeven, one struggled to find anything of relevance. Along the lines of "this is the painting owned by the neighbour of a friend of Beethoven's parents" was hardly an uplifting experience. The whole display was limited in it's "wow" value and was not very lovelingly prepared. My family, who are real Beethoven fans, were very... More

I am born in the same town as the Ludwig van Beethoven, Bonn at the River Rhine. Presence accompanies me as long as I can think. I highly recommend to visit the Beethoven house. You will not only get a taste of how life was at Beethoven's times here, you even can visit the room where he was born, a... More

The house where the famous composer was born, with pictures, sheet music, instruments. I especially enjoyed the ground floor with the story of how the house survived the second world war, and the media library, where you can listen to music and they also have an interactive zone for kids. After the visit you can chew on the head of... More

This little museum was packed with revealing information about Beethoven's short life, music and career. We were very happy to have rented the audio self-guided tour, which was informative in its narrative, but also introduced us to more of his music as well. This is the place where he was born, but there is also a display of his death... More

I think it is amazing. I loved every minute of it. To see where the "Master" was born was quite a treat!! The original instruments were amazing and some of the written historical work was amazing to see. We spent 2 hours there and the time just whizzed by.

Beethoven's birth house was small, and packed with interesting artefacts. The interactive opera was fun.

This is a cute place and worth a quick visit. But this is just where Beethoven grew up ... not where he composed anything. It's nice, but not of major importance.

Let me start by strongly advising - GET THE AUDIO GUIDE!!! It was 2.50 euros to rent each unit with a 10 euro/unit deposit refundable upon return and so well worth the price. The English audio guide is extremely informative and well-narrated by a clear British voice. The house is sparsely furnished - more of a museum with cabinets, showcases,... More
