As a new resident to the city I was able to visit the place for free. It's a really interesting place to wander around for 30 mins to 1 hour. The signage was in German but we received a brochure at the entrance explaining each room in English. There is also a really cool and interactive presentation held every hour... More

Atmospheric and lots of lovely old instruments on display as well as scores etc. Some stuffy old pictures and the labelling for non German speakers could be improved. Very central in Bonn so drop in.

The museum was ok, nice to see where beethoven was born but not really that special. All the signs where in German but luckily there was an English folder

Nothing much to see, but you feel the greatness of Beethoven with some simple things that they have at the museum. Nice to spend in 30'

I was expecting much from Beethoven museum, but it was quite disappointing. The museum is located in the house where the famous musician was born, but before his 30-year-old he moved to Vienna, where he remained until his death and where he made his career. So many people think that he actually was Austrian, not German. Beethoven's Vienna museum is... More

Small but interesting for period instrument lovers. Entrance fee and strict guard on duty when I visited.

We did not have much expectation for that, I thought it would be just "the place he was born". But it is much more. The audio guide totally worth it. And you can go through every step of his life. Very nice museum!

Beethoven-Haus is worth the visit if you are in Bonn. The museum has some wonderful exhibits and there is a audio guide system which is somewhat helpful but could use some work on information. The building is small and I would recommend going when there are no school children there touring. There isn't a lot of exhibits is English and... More

Beethoven's house is a littlw hard to find because they don't have a big sign on the street. Turns out the souvenir-shop and the entrance is in a closed yard. We were fascinated by Beethoven's original testaments written by hand (he wrote a several versions) and by music sheets. Otherwise the museum presents it's own history than Beethoven's. The composer... More
