This is a well presented collection of artifacts related to Beethoven, housed in the building where he was born. I definitely recommend having the audio guide, this adds a lot to the displays and includes a number of musical items, some played on the instruments displayed. A must for lovers of classical music.

As a piano player I grew up listening to and playing Beethoven. The museum houses a very interesting collection of artifacts and tells the story of Beethoven's life. See excerpts of his compositions as he developed them. Wonder over the paintings and sketches of him. Listen to an audio tour available for rental. The gift shop has an excellent selection... More

It wasn't hard to find Beethoven's house as the signs will lead you to his place. A simple house in a simple community. Glad to learn more about Beethoven's childhood in Bonn. It's a short tour around the house and seeing the life and works of the master. You are able to listen to numerous pieces he composed. No picture... More

I expected more. It was interesting but it´s not worth the trip. Close to the museum (Beethoven´s house) you will find a square that sells fruits. Try the strawberryies!

I know that is just a house and someone can maybe not expect too much, but really there was nothing special about it, some rooms with some pictures hunging, some books and a piano. I usually spend hours in museums, but at this one the visit lasted about 25 minutes, because there was just nothing more there to see.

If you are a Classic Music lover you'll love this place and enjoy. If you small children you have a place to leave the stroller, because you have many steps in the house. It's possible enjoy even if you're with small children like I was.

On a few occasions in the City Centre I saw the queue and decided to come back but on my last day I went specially and hit lunchtime so I shall have to go next time I'm in Bonn. My advice - go early in the day!

From the moment I walked into Beethovens house I was swept away in a story of history, music and love. The house is amazing as you can see where Beethoven was born together with music and instruments that he played. The house and small gardens are beautiful. Well worth the visit x
