A wonderful octagonal building with a proud history. Amazing windows at the East end. The hotel had some damage during the 2nd World War but is well worth a visit

We did a tour with a tourguide and it was perfect. The young woman knew a lot about the building and the history and she could answer every question. She told a lot of stories and made it very interesting to listen.
Very beautiful in dark lighting. Well worth seeing. Not allowed to visit whole building & restrictive opening hours at least in March
Really impressed by the scale of the building, there was also a lovely string quartet playing outside too!

A wonderful city and such a beautiful building you will really enjoy the architecture and wonder of the work inside stuning
Very nice architectural building, more pretty inside then outside. But during my visit they were performing a lot of renovations. Tours in English only once a day, by the time of my visit it was 14:00.
The Aachen Cathedral was the religious center of the Charlemagne empire. A must see for any history buff. The architecture and art work also is very impressive. A tour is recommended.
