The lighthouse was built in 1897. For only 2 Euros you can climb up it. There are 2 viewing platforms at different levels, both giving great views of the harbour and town.

If you're the kind of person who likes to climb to the top of church bell towers and other tall structures when in Europe, you should take advantage of this light house climb. It is very inexpensive, and the view from the top is incredible. It allows you the chance to really see the entire beach area, which is larger... More

This lighthouse in Warnemunde is worth a quick visit. For a small fee, you can climb the stairs to the top and have a 360 degree panoramic view of the town. You can see the beach, the ships, the restaurants and patios -- on a nice day, it is a really good view.

You can pay a euro to go to the top of the lighthouse but the line was fairly big so I didn't bother. Makes a good photo opportunity if combined with the 15 or so international flags 100 metres before the lighthouse

Even if cruise companies call this port Berlin, it is 3 hours by train from this beautiful city. This means 6 hours back and forth... Is it worthwile to ride a train so long to be in such a grand city as Berlin for 3-4 hours? Hell no! You need 3-4 days in Berlin! Warnermunde and Rostock are fabulous littoe... More

It's only 2 euros to go up the lighthouse and well worth it... only 132 steps too and they are easy to climb as they aren't steep... the steps do get narrower as you go up but not too much. The views from the top are far reaching and a lovely to see with a gentle breeze blowing on your... More

You have a really nice view over Warnemünde and can see the shipyards towards Rostock. You have to pay 2€ (1.50 with the Kurtaxenheft), then you can climb the stairs and enjoy the view. It is also a good place to watch the ships swim along the Alter Strom. Definitely a must...
