Located directly at the Stralsund harbour. Modern building. New museum about the ocean and everything that's connected to it, with special attention to environmental issues. Attractive displays, but not everything is translated into English. Given the high entrance fee (14 EUR) and the international public they try to attract I think this is a mistake. Nevertheless certainly worth a visit....

We were disappointed of this museum. Probably our expectations were too high after seeing L’Aquarium de Barcelona. Maybe for family with children is more attractive. We stayed at the queue for about 45 minutes; it was crowded. What I liked is that even if the pets are not allowed they had a kennel service.

Ozeaneum is the perfect place to visit whilst staying on the nearby island of Ruegen.
What it makes unique is that this is not a museum in a traditional style. It shows how
