We have visited Karls on a number of occasions, in the past few years, with our 2 young children and we will do again so this summer on our visit to Rostock to grandma. There is something to do and learn at Karls for young and old alike, lots to see and on top of that you can very well... More

I loved the place, a lot to do for kids of various ages. I personally liked the store with all kinds of little decoration things to take home. What I did not like so much was the food, it was mainly fast food and not that great. The kids enjoyed the Erlebnis-Dorf!

When the ship docked, the sky was grey and we were on our way to town when it started to rain so we duck into the Karls shop. What a wonderful surprise! There were lots of things to see, the smell of food and coffee from the tea garden were very nice and we had a wonderful time selecting gifts.... More

Have only visited Karl's during the Ice Festival season. Went three years ago and have been back each year since. Always a good display, this years was very good. The surrounding shop sells a wide variety of products. Smells amazing too due to the strawberries. A little pricey but good for a one off.

It was one of those cooler days near the Baltic coast, and the beach was no on the menu today, so we followed the signs to karls and were deligthed and amused by the visit. We had no children with us, but the car park was quite full on the saturday afternoon, and there were plenty of children there ....... More

This is a must-see if you have kids. We were on a cruise that stopped in the port of Warnemunde for the day. We rented a car right across from the cruise terminal and had no problem at all finding Karl's (even though most all the info I found about it on the internet was in German). My kids (ages... More

Rostock is a place I am really at home but I'd never made it to Karl's before I went back to Germany in February. My friend works for the marketing department of Karl's but he took us at the time to see the annual "Eiszeit" which is a series of ice sculptures they put on during the winter when you... More

It is amazing how this place has evolved over the years. There is always something on. Great for young and old. Eat,shop or simply wonder around. Have to keep my wife away from here, because she simply starts redecorating everytime we come here.Only downside, it is not a secret. Weekends and rainy days make this place packed out. But i...
