We always wanted to go to this museum as we are Volkswagen nuts, but was a little disappointed almost because of the lack of history in the place. We went to a castle in Wulfsberg and learnt more about Volkswagen. The museum is an old place and the receptionist doesn't speak much English, but you can get by. They have... More

I drove across Europe to achieve a life long ambition as a dedicated air cooled Volkswagen enthusiast - and not once but twice, as I drove here last year and it was closed due to freak storm damage! Anyway, we visited Autostadt last year which was excellent. This is the original VW museum and contains rare one off prototypes which... More

I loved everything about it. If you take some time and read what is presented with each exhibition, you'd walk away with a new appreciation for human kind's ingenuity.

I cannot understand how such "museum" could exist, it is totally outdated. The place is very old, most if the written explanations are in german, the receptionist doesn't speak English an the "tour guide" neither. The collection... More

This museum is good in that it has so many old VWs on display split into air cooled and water cooled. Definitely worth a visit if you're a VW fan. However, virtually everything was in German. Now, I know we were in Germany but a museum is an attraction for people to learn about things and with the majority of... More

The Best of the Best. What an unforgettable experience we had at the Museum. We enjoyed every minute of it while looking and rekindling memories during the time when I was a kid. I Love Volkswagen!!

The Zeithaus was the highlight. All else, other than interactive exhibits and activities, was mostly hype.
