It gets an average score which is completely based on the vehicles on show which are all top class & plenty in abundance. What it lacks as a museum experience is more interaction, lack of use of modern media technology, a very poorly stocked shop (if it could be classed as a shop at all) & even maybe a small... More

Since acquiring a classic VW campervan we've been wanting to visit the Auto Museum in Wolfsburg in order to see some of the other classic VW vehicles that have made the brand so iconic. If travelling to Wolfsburg from Berlin, I would recommend booking train tickets at the earliest opportunity as otherwise they can be very expensive. We booked ahead... More

Well worth a trip for the VW museum and historic cars. Lots of the old aircooled dubs. Very interesting to see. Also some watercooled there too. Only problem is that some signs not in English.

Great selection of iconic cars. Go in the afternoon when the staff seem a little more relaxed regarding how close its possible to get to the cars

This museum is really ace, for what it is. Don't go expecting a day out, its not that kind of place. We did this museum the day after we visited the Autostadt, in the morning before we started out epic drive back to the UK. Its a great little place with some great historic pieces i.e original Herbie, robotic cars,... More

We always wanted to go to this museum as we are Volkswagen nuts, but was a little disappointed almost because of the lack of history in the place. We went to a castle in Wulfsberg and learnt more about Volkswagen. The museum is an old place and the receptionist doesn't speak much English, but you can get by. They have... More

I drove across Europe to achieve a life long ambition as a dedicated air cooled Volkswagen enthusiast - and not once but twice, as I drove here last year and it was closed due to freak storm damage! Anyway, we visited Autostadt last year which was excellent. This is the original VW museum and contains rare one off prototypes which... More

I loved everything about it. If you take some time and read what is presented with each exhibition, you'd walk away with a new appreciation for human kind's ingenuity.
