The nicest museum you'll ever visit

Give yourself all-day. Take your time. You'll have a great day. There are a LOT of cars that are NOT VW's!

Once you have done this, you can head to other locations. Do try out the All terrain driving at Euro 35 for 45 mins, book in advance online.

A little difficult to get to from Berlin as the signage of trains and signage in Wolfsburg is lacking if using public transport or walking. The museum is old fashioned in its presentation and offers examples of historic models. It is like going to a motor show without any interactive screens that give a context to the historical importance of... More

If you expect to see lots of classic Volkswagens, you will be served well. If you expect to see the history behind the brand, you only see the very least of that: no multimedia presentation; no backgrounds of the designers; very facts behind the displayed cars; nothing about the link to cars of today. And it's not that VW doesn't... More

Quite shabby museum compared to Autostadt but nice place to see some old beetles and others. Walked 1 mile from the train station but and it was worth it.

I visited museum after wasting my time at the Autostat. I have to say that this is a place really worth visiting for any car nut or for anyone who has owned a VW. The displays are great and tracks the history of most of the early models of the VW line. Well worth a look.

My husband and I visited before leaving Wolfburg after a day at Autostadt and it was definitely worth spending a few hours there if you like your VWs. If you're into VWs, this is on the list of must-see places for any enthusiast. The cross-selection of cars is vast and covered quite a range of both water and air-cooled. There... More

A really worthwhile place to visit. My husband, being a car enthusiast and engineer loves these places. However, I was surprised that I also really enjoyed it. The car museum was fascinating and the whole 'village' was really well laid out. The highlight was the trip through the factory.
