Clean, nice and quiet!

A 2 hours waking in a Friday morning was one of the most relaxing experiences I had in the past time. Nice buildings, small street with flowers in the windows, everything was nice.

Much of what you can see has either been brought here or reconstructed post-war. That said, this has been done very well and there are some interesting buildings and walks to be had, some unusual art as well as opportunity to people watch.

Great old building with a restaurant and offices. At the edge of the Park with a small lake view. It is a very beautiful and impressive site and worth the visit.

The Old Town Hall dates back to 1453. It was restored after WW2 damage and forms part of the Market and Market Kirche complex.

Interesting structure to take a look as it is an important part of Hannover's history. Offices and restaurant now occupy the building but you could still go into the main lobby to have a look.

Survived the bombs throughout the war very pretty building to view. Can go inside where they have models of the city both from medevil to modern times to see how the place has grown over time.

when we stayed in Hannover, they just played Tosca from Puccini. People could listen and follow the opera from the borders of the lake around the Old Townhouse.Th sold townhouse was lightened and in the spots.

Luckily the Rathaus seems to have survived the destruction of World War 2. Its very impressive and there is the option to go to the top of the dome which we opted not to do. The main entrance hall gives an impression of the solidity of this massive "pile". There are scale models of the city showing its development during... More

Recommended to have a look around and inside this wonderfull old building in the center of Hannover. Afterwards, enjoy the view from "Neues Rathaus" ;-)
