I think this was one of the best ways to spend a day at Hannover! In the heart of the city (train 10) if I'm not wrong takes you to the Zoo! The animals have been kept well, fed on time, and they allow pets to visit as well!! Very clean and tidy, the maps guide you well inside the... More

The Hannover zoo is an amazing place. I was really impressed to see the animals kept in a near natural enclosure. The zoo map makes it very easy to locate the animals in a well arranged natural clusters like zanzibar, australia, india, underwater life and yukon bay. the Hippopotamuses were huge, so was the elephants. I also love the penguins... More

Went to the zoo with mixed views as a zoo in a city sounds a bit strange. The price was very reasonable and so was the cost of activities/food. A really good selection of the big and small animals, all very easy to get up close to. The recreation of natural habitats was at times strange but the animals looked... More

The Zoo is One of the Mixer Zoos i have visited, but the price is rather high. And even though they are trying to make the place ok for the animals, it still feels like it's not quite enough. But maybe that's just my opinion as I am not really a 'zoo person'. I am sure the kids enjoy it... More

The Hannover Zoo is not a classical Zoo with Animals in Cages, instead it is following the concept of an adventure Zoo. It is separated into different Continents. In Africa, you can take a tour with a boat and experience the animals in their environment. The new created Yukon bay lets you experience the Gold Digger times and even the... More

I love Zoo's, and being a solo travellor (and not a very confident one!), I wanted something easy to do. The zoo was very short taxi ride from my hotel (Suite Novotel) and cost 8 euros. None of the entrance signs were in English which was a shame, so I joined a que and hoped for the best! However this... More

The Berlin Zoo may be more famous, but it the Hannover Zoo is far superior. (Berlin Zoo looks like it hasn't changed in 60 years, with the traditional feeling of animals being imprisoned.) What we love about this zoo is the themed areas -- like Yukon Bay, which is brilliant. Take a boat ride around part of the zoo. What... More

Just got back from visiting the Zoo it was a perfect stop over location on the way back from the in laws in Poland on the way to Europort to catch the ferry home. Arrived at opening time after a short walk from our hotel and it crossed my mind... Have I made a wise decision? Is it going to... More
