Not knowing quite what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised by the range of artists and sculptors on display. As well as seeing many very talented artists whose names i didn't recognise, there was an interesting collection of many that I did e.g. Monet, Sisley and Rubens

I visited during the Royals In Hannover exhibition which was excellent. The only negative was the font size was too small for the number of people trying to read the information.

This is an interesting museum where the ground floor features a number of marine fish tanks and sections on dinosaurs, birds and reptiles. Of these the fish tanks are the most popular with kids. You would have thought that you have entered into a small scale aquarium in Hannover. The first floor features a number of art pieces and coins... More

This is a landmark musuem. Too bad few people outside of Hannover seem to know about it. We just went to a major exhibition about the Hannovarian Kings who ruled but this area of Germany and England. Superb -- so well done. The whole museum is excellent, and because it's relatively unknown in a country with so much to see,... More

The exhibition was fascinating with its exhibition of artefacts from all over Eutope including from HM The Queen, National Portrait Gallery and Greenwich. The silver furniture and other artefacts were stunning as were the displays linking Captain Cook, James Watt , Jonathan Swift and Handel withe the Hanoverian dynasty. Great exhibition.

A very good museum. The Hannoverian exhibition was excellent, too bad there were no English translations of the labels made available especially as some of it related to GB and the English royal family.

Nice exhibitions for kids (dinosaurs and aquarium) but unfortuantely, the staff are for the most part (with some exceptions) not very amendable to children. In general, the customer service approach could be improved - I was informed on a recent visit by a lady in the musuem shop that it was two minutes past five (five is closing time) and... More

I speak & read limited German & my husband none at all. We very disappointed that tourist attraction such as this had no English written information. Nor did the staff speak any more then 'a few words'. I notice someone mentioned an audio guide, however, we were not made aware of this, nor did we see any notice of this.

Having seen the average reviews on here I wasn't that inclined to visit this museum. But having just visited the Rathaus it was raining so we popped in. The museum is great! There is no English interpretation so if you don't speak German you should get the audio guide from the shop. The audio guide made the experience! We only... More
