These gardens are well worth a visit especially during spring and summer. They are well laid out and have first class displays. We would go again without hesitation.

Extensive, many fountains, very formal. Don't forget to go to the botanical gardens across the road.

I've been to many formal gardens around Europe. This particular example is one of the best I've ever seen. The fountains are fantastic and, while I am no expert on formal gardens, these have to be among the best in Europe.

The topiary, the roses, the fountains, the tranquility. The best however is the grotto, a modern twist on a very old artificial cave

We went to this exhibition at Herrenhausen which covered the political situation with the Act of Settlement and found it fascinating. We then toured the wonderful gardens and would highly recommend it. Herrenhausen has just been rebuilt after it was destroyed in the war.

A visit to Hannover would not be complete without a visit to Herrenhausen with its palace and gardens. At €8 for adult entry this is excellent value which includes the Palace, museum, main garden and botanical garden across the road. You can get an audio guide in English for the Palace museum - included in the price for entry -... More

This is one incredible place to visit. it is amazing! The garden has a maze in the section 4 of the garden, it was pretty exciting, went round the maze and found myself back in the middle of the maze 3 times. There is a museum in the garden and for adult it is 8 euros to get in, free... More

Didn't cost much to get in, very good value, the gardens are lovely. Didn't seem to be much choice as to where to get food - the restaurant prices were ridiculous, and the only other place was a fast food place next to the Sealife centre which we didn't fancy. I would take a picnic -there are plenty of places... More

These are large, beautiful, extremely well maintained formal gardens in easy reach of the centre of Hannover - just take the 4 or 5 subway/tram. A very pleasant way to spend a quiet couple of hours. Plenty of space to wander and enjoy the flowers/trees/plants. Excellent seating throughout the gardens. I was lucky that on the day I visited that... More
