Burial site of St. Bonifice, Fulda Cathedral is an excellent example of Baroque architecture. Fulda is an excellent day trip if staying in the Frankfurt Area an easy two hour drive. It would also be a good launching point to explore the former East West boarder towns, Check Point Alpha, and if overnighting in Fulda a day trip to Wartburg Castle.... A wonderful experience! The history is so incredilble. Once we were done with the museum, we went into the cathedral and WOW my jaw dropped! I have never seen such amazing colors, design and structure! I had to take a picture just to show everyone at home how amazing it was and even the picture doesn't do justice! This is... More

Beautiful Cathedral. The DOM with Saint Bonifatius is located in old city, Fulda is awe-inspiring and worth a visit. Opens your eyes to the tremendous history of this smaller city at the foot of the Rhoen Mountains.

I wasn't expecting to witness such a beautiful building but the sheer size of it alone is incredible. Beautiful sculptures and an amazing view of the organ pipes on the back wall.

This beautiful cathedral is full of storied history, great architecture and decor. It's not far from the train station and the historic Alstadt (old city). Well worth the walk. You'll love the skeleton art.

The Cathedral was interesting. The history was spectacular. The exhibits brought the past to life as well as anything we saw in Europe.

I lived in Germany for about 10 years. The Fulda Dom is a beautiful place to visit. Make sure to tour the museum. There are beautiful statues and Liturgical robes. St. Boniface’s’ remains are buried beneath the high alter in the cathedral and the crypt is especially beautiful. The cathedral is truly magnificent. When someone from the states came to... More

My first trip I was given a Guide to read in English. This trip well the gentleman at the desk was not as helpful. If you like history and are curious about the Catholic Church it is an interesting way to spend time in Fulda.
