The Commerzbank-Arena stands on the site of its great predecessor – the legendary Frankfurt Waldstadion. It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field.

Great sporting event even for non - soccer fans. Not as big of a stadium as others in Germany but the 42,000 fans present made it feel as if there were 100,000. Great fan, good team; very entertaining. Get there early to avoid the long security lines. To buy food/drinks, you will have to purchase a €10 card, add money... More

This is a top German football stadium. Well situated and easy to get to, however you travel. It is very modern, clean, well served and highly organised as you would expect from a German top flight ground. My last visit was for a German international football match and the atmosphere was great as it is when Entracht play at home.

Emailed a few weeks in advance to try and organise a stadium tour for myself and my friend. The correspondence wasn't great via email and then they told me for a tour for 2 people we would have to pay 90 euros - you don't even pay that much for a tour in the Camp Nu in Barcelona! Customer service... More

I had arranged a winter trip for 9 chaps to see Eintracht vs Werder Bremen, two teams struggling to form. The energy and noise in the stadium was electric, we stood in the standing section. You would not believe this team is towards the foot at the Bundesliga. The facilities were great and we felt very secure. Frankfurt won 2-1... More

This Football ground is the home of Eintracht Frankfurt. It is a modern stadium sponsored by Commerzbank. It is easy to get to as it is close to a S Bahn Station. If you have a valid ticket, travel to and from the stadium is free! There was no game when we were there.

We visited the Arena on a non match day to take a look at the ground. There is a ubahn stop for the arena, then a walk to the entrance. I imagine it has a good atmosphere when there is a game on.

We went to this stadium to see a Bundesliga game between Eintrach Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin, 2 teams which seem to have middling records. Yet the crowd was loud, enthusiastic, and the atmosphere was fantastic. This stadium is accessed primarily by public transportation, so much so that there are essentially no parking lots around it. The stadium is encircled by... More

Around the corner from the fan shop is the Eintricht Frankfurt museum which was a nice walk through. On non-game days it is open M-F but can be a little difficult to find for tourists. Spend a few minutes to locate where to park and visit this shop and museum.
