The Commerzbank-Arena stands on the site of its great predecessor – the legendary Frankfurt Waldstadion. It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field.

I saw my first ever soccer match at Commerzbank-Arena....Eintracht Frankfurt vs Mainz. I loved it....it was a full house and all of the fans were fanatics. The soccer players were amazingly skilled. They have the control of a wizard with the soccer ball. I also enjoyed the concession stand (they had all sorts of nice German food like bratwurst and... More

If you like soccer, don't miss the chance to watch the Eintracht Frankfurt. You will see crazy fans that have been loyal to the team through many ups and downs. They love the team above everything and are the hardest criticizers if necessary. Here you will find true passion. On a German level. Go early (like 1:30-1h before the match... More

Loved the size and spectacle of this place, the acoustics inside the arena were fantastic. From the walk through the well kept grounds to the arena itself, the buildup sets you up for a great time. The food etc. was reasonably priced, and the ticket/crowd situation worked out really nicely. It did get chilly in there later on, luckily there... More

Clean and exciting stadium in a beautiful nature. The access is easy from S-Bahn train station. I didn't have any complaint to this stadium. However, sometimes drunks hang out and at the night, there are not enough lights from the stadium to the S-Bahn station. So if you walk by your self, please be careful...

Home of Eintracht Frankfurt - probably the greatest football club in Germany! Great stadium to visit, easy access by public transport or car (parking is a nightmare on matchdays!) If you are in town over a match weekend (Fri - Sun) and there is a home game, you should definitely try to get tickets to see a match. Come and... More

Best football what you can find in the world. Over 51 000 spectators keeps a good noise. Remember buy currywurst and weizen beer.

Been here for an Eintracht vs VfB Stuttgart game and it was really good. The stadium is similar to the National Arena in Bucharest, being designed by the same architecht as far as I know. The atmoshere was great, and there`s plenty to do before the game if you get there early. Food and beverages can`t be bought with cash,... More

We come to this stadium fr the international convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. Plenty of leg room compared to the football stadium we use to attend in England (Elland Road). Very nice surroundings and plenty of public transport nearby. Would love to see a football match here.
