It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field. « less

We were here for the 2014 International Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. There were about 38000 in attendance. The ground are nice with lots of trees. The arena is mostly covered so rain should stay off you, but the sun does shine on certain lower sections throughout the day. There are no tv screens in the walking areas so if you... More

My wife bought me tickets to Trans Siberian Orchestra. It was playing at this arena. To begin with we had problems with the tickets that we were supposed to pickup at box office. The box office gave us 3 different times to pick them up.(after traveling to box office to get them, they kept delaying) Finally we got our tickets,... More

Stadium is fantastic - nice short queues for food & drink, great staff on hand to assist, super views of the action even from the top of the stand. Getting to and from the stadium was very straightforward on the tram but beware it is at least a mile's walk (very nice) from the tram to the stadium.

Its a very nice stadium. The tram takes you very close. And I watch a match, so if you have some free time, its a good place to know.

Went to watch an Eintracht Frankfurt in February and found the stadium to be modern with good leg room and plenty of places to get food and buy merchandise. To get to the stadium, look for trains that say they are going to Stadion, though I think some of the airport trains stop at the stadium so there is probably... More

Went to see Eintracht Frankfurt against Tel Aviv in the Europa league earlier in the season. Great modern ground that keeps in the loud atmosphere of the passionate Frankfurt fans who are a credit to their club. I saw Frankfurt last season at Hamburg and the fans were really loud then too. Highly recommend a visit.

Don't miss a football game if you happen to be in town on a weekend. The stadium is fairly modern as it was newly built for the 2006 world cup. I have sat in all corners of the stadium (except for where the away fans are ;-) and the view is really good from wherever you sit. I have never... More

My first visit to a Bundesliga game was the game on 7th December held between Frankfurt V Hoffenheim. We turned up early and took the opportunity to view the museum at the stadium (€5) Very interesting displays inside. Worth checking out. Nice touch were club reps handing out free sweet & Christmas hats to young children. Good PR! Access to... More
