the modern Oper-Frankfurt is a very pretty, modern and acoustically serene music hall. We has the opportunity to see a Hungarian opera and the voices carried very well. Also, a bright spot is that the seats (at least in the floors above the main floor) are well tiered so that sight lines are excellent.

Bought tickets to Frankfurt Opera out of curiosity b/c i've heard it's one of the best theaters in the world. ARIADNE AUF NAXOS by Richard Strauss did not fill the auditorium, we purchased the lest expensive tickets on the very top, and later had a chance to chose more confortable seats. It was sung in German with German subtitles. The... More

Just back to our hotel after the first act of La Sonambula. Fine performances, great sound, and would love to have stayed for the rest, but the seats were impossible. We were in 2. Rang Seite links, Reihe 1, seats 9 and 10. Unlike the seats in row 2 in the same area, these seats are not angled toward the... More

Went to the Opera in Frankfurt for the first time. Very nice experience, friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. All subtitling in German, but all personally speaks very good English. Especially nice with preordering of nice food, cold as well as warm, and wine for the intermittent. Do not forget to preorder!

Wonderful playing, conducting, staging (but perhaps I'm biased as I know the stage director), lighting (and I also know the lighting designer!) and singing. Two really memorable nights.

This was an attraction of international Tourist, next to the building was a Euro Mark monument that every one loved to take photos next to, If you arrived by train in Frankfurt you will be just on the door mat of Oper Frankfurt. Its a beautiful sight next to a park ,you can watch and admire all day.

Amazing and beautiful building. Worth a walk through the surrounding parks or streets. Great for a visit and recommend a coffee nearby to admire the view.

This is such a vibe square in the evening with wine/beer bars food stores and entertainment. It makes you part of the Frankfurt scene as the working professional all meet up in this square after work.

I have now been here three times. Once for Dido/Bluebeard which was sensational and which I followed up to Edinburgh. Once for Fanciulla del West with Eva-Maria Westbroek which was great fun. And just now for Daphne with Maria Bentsson which was utterly ravishing. All I want to say is that this is an outstanding company and if you go... More
