This is a great area to take a walk and enjoy German scenery. There are many souvenir and food shops around. We purchased a few small souvenirs from this area. I think everyone should include a visit to this place in their Frankfurt trip.

I understand much of this was rebuilt after the war. It is a wonderful place to wander with stores, outdoor restaurants. Perfect place to immerse yourself in the culture and people of Frankfurt. Really worth a visit. Have a glass of Frankfurt's apple wine and enjoy the view.

I was so glad I made the trip. I loved the architecture! With all the modern construction happening in Frankfurt, this square provides an old world flare and hence a reminder of its past. It is a great place to just people watch while you take in the sights. With the many bistros and restaurants, there were many options for... More

The buildings in the Romer are adorable! Beautiful examples of old German architecture. This is a great section of town to walk around. Make sure to walk by the river as well!

This square is surrounded on all sides by beautiful old buildings. Everywhere you look there's a beautiful old traditional German building. Must visit part of Frankfurt city centre.

My wife and I keep going back for a walk through ever time we are in town. Lots of shops and food places to choose from if you need something or just stop for a photo.

This place is the first place to visit in Frankfurt, besides the Main-River side. The Tourist Information is located here as well. Center of the center. Recommended to make a walking tour from here over the pedestrian bridge to "Old Sachsenhausen", then River Main - side, then shopping-streets Roßmarkt, Hauptwache, Zeil, and back to the the Romer-platz (Romer - square)...
