Enjoy the time in Palmengarten but also the cafe attached had very good cakes! Loved Macha flavoured cake :-)

See the seasonal exhibits, especially the advent wreaths. Great playgrounds for kids. Go in winter to get some tropical warmth. Go in summer to cool off in the shade. Then eat cake at Cafe Siesmeyer next door.

Nice place to stop after a visit to the Palm garden. Good service, nice food and the cakes/desserts are incredible. In their store you can buy elegant chocolates, cakes and cookies. Not cheap - but nice ☺️

I was skeptical when my wife suggested we visit. I was not disappointed. While the foliage might be sparse, the landscaping, greenhouses, and winter plantings offered plenty to see.

Palmengarten is a park and botanic garden in the heart of Frankfurt. It has several inner gardens, hot houses with various types of flora (tropical, desert, etc.), and a small but beautiful orchid garden. Also don't miss its swan lake, grotto with a small waterfall, kiddy train, and other attractions. Beautiful place, highly recommended. If you have a Frankfurt Card,... More

I built in a day for sightseeing at the end of my business trip to Frankfurt. I'm glad I found the Palmengarten. The walk through the greenhouses and beautiful grounds was a great way to relax and clear my head after several busy days. Autumn is a lovely time to visit with the trees in full color but do keep... My wife and I visited Palmengarten during autumn (2014), which meant we missed the best time to see the gardens in full bloom. However, the day we went there was an orchid show/sale on and it was simply amazing to see such a huge variety of orchids, some of which we had never seen before. The Palmengarten is a large... If you fancy a walk in the green, maybe watching tropical or sub-tropical plants, or possibly just going out with your small kids, consider the Palmengarten. It maybe be crowded when special exhibitions take place, but it is worth going...
