I have visited quite a few botanical gardens over the years, they are usually lovely to stroll in to get away from the stress of big cities, but this one in Frankfurt is really something special. Some of the exhibits like those of the mangrove swamp, mimosa trees, or carnivorous plants are unique in my experience and well justify a... More

There is a huge quantity of plants and flowers from all over the world. In spring is the better time to see all the flowers and have a deep smell experience, on autums the leaves colours are like on a painting. The only disappointing thing is that if you don't have a bothanic German speaking knowledge (like me) you cannot... More

Palmengarten is an wonderful place to visit with a huge variety of plants and flowers on display. I expect the gardens would be much more spectacular in Summer when all of the flowers are out, but none the less our visit was not disappointing.

We enjoyed our time at the Palmgarten - however we were disappointed that the main palmgarten was closed. The entry price at 7 Euros per person was also quite steep. That being said the tropical houses were fun and it kept us entertained for the afternoon.

A quite stunning place. The most beautiful garden I've ever visited. It has lots of plants and flowers; it has a great plant exhibition, and some galleries. There is a small cafe inside the garden where we had some deserts. I was sorry to have missed many parts of the garden because it is very big, and I did not... More

We spent a lovely day walking through the garden, admiring all the plants. It is great for kids as well. There are benches and tables on several places throughout and we will definitely bring our own picnic next time.

I enjoyed it in winter nonetheless. Was there in time to see the tropical gardens (closed by16;00) and the witner lights. the last were impressive. I strongly suggest visiting when in town

We went in the winter and the weather was cold yet fine. Even with many of the plants an outdoor activities covered, it was a really nice visit. Indoor displays and still beautiful grounds is definately worth the visit.
