The garden has an excellent assortment of a variety of plants. However, if you wish to step out for a bite to eat or drink and come back later you are out of luck. There is one entry fee and if you leave, you will have to pay again. That is not customer friendly!

Had a very nice time strolling through these gardens on a summers afternoon. This botanical garden, like most, host an array of exotic plants from around the world. There are plenty of places to sit and relax, as well as plenty of paths to explore. Visiting the gardens was a nice break from the city that surrounds you and almost... More

My wife and I spent the late morning and early afternoon walking through the Palmengarten and were very impressed with how large and beautiful the grounds were despite the bustling city that surrounds it. The variety of plants they had on display around the garden was incredible and, despite not speaking German, we did not find it annoying that we... More

Oh, this is so cool. This place is so big and so nice. A lot of tropical forests, and interesting things to see, and a nice lake with a lot of gardens. Nice

In the midst of busy Frankfurt, Germany's financial capital, is Palmengarten, an island of botanical marvel that has survived and prospered since the 1860s. Plants and trees from every climate, immense green houses for tropical species, riotous color patches, a waterfall, rock gardens and on and on. Places for children to play when they get bored with the nature lessons,... More

Palmen Garten- Botanical Garden Frankfurt Definitely worth a visit . Visited a number of botanical greens around the world and this is one of the better ones. It's loaded with colors and variety of plants - representing desert cacti plants, Subantarctic , tropical, alpine , etc . Atriums with controlled environments enable them to make all greens survive. There are... More

I recommend a 2-3 hour visit to these beautiful gardens. There are many things to see, and many cozy places to sit and enjoy the day.

Went to the gardens on a hot day and it was lovely. There's large gardens to walk around with a lake and little train running through it. There's also many green houses for tropical plants but it was just too hot to go into when we went. I went with a few friends and we all got student tickets for... More
