Taken there by my wife expecting the usual type of botanical garden. I have to say I was very impressed, takes a good day to go round if you are going to do it properly and also have a lie around in the huge area they have set out for metal sunbeds. Superb set of glass houses with superb collections... More

I spent a totally green day at palnengarten. When you go there you will enjoy an informative tour where all types of plants are demobstrated there. It contains a rich glass house for tropical plants. Dont miss the vegitarian sausages which are very delucious. You can f

Palmengarten is a very beautiful botanic garden! Divided into sections and particularly enjoyed the Rose garden. Great place to relax. Would be good for families with small children since there are benches and big open spaces where you could lie down on the grass.

This old botanical garden, where the people used to "refresh their minds" a hundred years ago is a not important site in the 21th century. It was hard to find any reason to be enthusiastic about the Palmengarten in our days.

This is such a beautiful and peaceful garden. I have seen many plants from around the world and it was nice to see some of those plants thriving in Frankfurt, Germany and not their native habitat. One of my favorite areas in this garden was The Rose Garden as it is in the open air and you are able to... More

Another year, another success, amazing weather, great fireworks... If you are in Frankfurt when this is on, it is unmissable. Prepare to fight us locals for a good spot for your picnic blanket and with good weather bring your patience to the queues. You can bring your picnic stuff, but all glass bottles are confiscated at the entrance.

Palmengarten hosted the annual Light and roses festival which was breathtaking! Really awesome - i have never seen so many candles at one place before. Nevertheless, the gardens are beautiful even in simple working days.
