I couldn't imagine going to Frankfurt and not seeing the Romerberg. A square with beautiful buildings all around including the Romer building and a beautiful fountain. It's a great place to have a coffee or ice cream and sit to watch people pass by with a beautiful backdrop. This area was destroyed in the war and faithfully reconstructed, and it... more

The Romerberg itself is quite an attractive square and the bars around it have managed to recreate the feel of an old fashioned beer cellar but be wary of overly friendly waiters. We wanted just a snack and ordered each some sausages from the menu at 5.50 euro each. The waiter suggested a plate of mixed sausages for two instead... more
