Naturmuseum Senckenberg is a large museum covering many facets of natural history: from crystals (great collection!) to dinosaurs and modern animals. It has so much to see, you would probably need 3 hours or more to explore it all. I'm not a great fan of stuffed animals but some of their collections (for example, birds) is just spectacular so don't... More

I'd say it was a regular nature museum, without much surprises. It's a bit outdated, but you can see some dinosaur bones, and a rather extensive collection of stuffed animals. However, I'd say this museum requires some German knowledge as there were very few explanations in English.

Excellent museum and children absolutely love it, especially the dinosaurs. Highly recommended to visit while in Frankfurt.

If you are into museums, then this is a. Wry good choice. I was there with my kids 3 times already and we still would like to return. Dinosaurs, animals and natural science are at home.

To be honest without dinos the museum collection looks poor. The ground floor is really impressive. It's really interesting to take a look on dinosaur bones and skeletons. The rest is just regular. It is representative in some way but not impressive at all. But if you plan to go there with kids - they will be very excited!

Small but very interesting. Spent almost 3 hours in there even though I was hungover. Great collections of dinosaurs and stuffed animals.

My third visit to this museum over 25 years and not a lot has changed in the presentations. Still very technical descriptions of history which limits their appeal. Glad to see the Grube Messel with its own section but also here the presentation is somewhat "dry". Dinosaur exhibition remains visually very impressive and fascinating. This museum remains a must for... More

I really liked the dinosaurs. This museum is HUGE. You need at least half a day to do it properly. Some of the exhibitions do look a bit old -like the hair on the mammals and the feathers on the birds. I think it needs updating.

Among all the museums we visited in Frankfurt, this is the best. You need 2-3 hrs at least to explore and enjoy the great collection of the Natural History Items exhibited here. The collections of Dinosaurs and Marine Fossils is admirable. This is very unique place to visit.. so don’t miss it.
