This museum is really interesting to visit. Kids had a great time. I visited it on a Thursday and it was really empty. There's a great variety of animals, well disposed in big rooms. There are a few small issues like: few info written in English (although you can get an audio guide in English), no air conditioning during the... More

Impressive array of exhibits, plenty of options for english speakers as some signs have been updated to be bilingual. There is an audioguide available, and despite not speaking a word of German we were able to have a thorough understanding of the displays.

Well laid and excellent set up of life size models of various animals, fossils etc. 3 floors of science and natural history waiting for our awe and interest. Felt like a school student to learn so much about the world that was and what would be in future.

This is a splendid natural history museum with many exhibits! However, there were very few English descriptions but I believe that there are guided audio tours. Perhaps that would be a good alternative. Overall it's a wonderful and interesting museum with many interactive activities and engaging exhibits!

Lots of dinosaurs and fossils to see. Plus lots of taxidermy animals and birds. I found that a bit creepy at first but it was very interesting. Nothing is in English so unless you speak German you won't be able to read the signs. But it was fun none the less.

My son and I visited Senckenberg Museum and enjoyed it very much. By far the best part of the experience was the dinosaur bones. The exhibit had bones of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Icthyosaurus, Pterodactyls, and many others. The fossil exhibits range from the dawn of life to the recent past and were amazing. The animal and bird exhibits were... More

Natural history at its best is displayed here. The evolution process unfolds before one's eye even if you are not so interested in it! Science and religion finds a perfect blend here as one remembers the biblical phrase: " Let there be..."

The Senckenberg museum of natural history is really one of the top 3 museums (+Palmengarten, +Staedel) of Frankfurt. Espatially the exhibition of the enormous skeletons of dinosaur, i.e. Thyrannosaurus rex, are our favorites. Also the showing of the continental drift, volcanism and the big collection of birds (I read it's the biggest collection of the world) are worth seeing. You... More

I have young children and they are absolutely fascinated about dinosaurs. This museum has a good selection of them, and also in the street that are 2. Children love to observe them. It also has a very good variety of birds, animals, fish. Very good to show children nature in a different way.
