To my big surprise, and happily, there was a large section on dinosaurs, and quite a large array of them, some of which I had never seen. It was truly fascinating. And what was even better the number of children who went there to learn about the natural history. Great place to browse around if you have free time. Well... More

A lovely museum - like the Natural History a Museum in London but much more compact - you can easily do it in half a day. The quality of the exhibits is second to non and there are not too many of them either which means they are set off to their best. Best are the dinosaurs, mammoths and the... More

Spent a lovely morning at this beautifully designed museum. chatted with a very charming guide who explained some things to us in English. Downside is that there are not enough English explanations . I know a little German which was of some help, but not really enough for scientific stuff. Wanted to buy jewellery and fossils in the shop, but... More

Anyone interested in dinosaurs will enjoy this museum. It's worth going to for just about any age. We purchased the English translations, but they are only on about 1 out of every 100 items.

In my opinion this is THE most interesting museum for family tours. It has very nice collections of fossils, rocks, animals and other attractions. It is not too large, and the "Egyptology" chamber is very poor, however as "overcharging" too much science in a short time is sometimes boring, I would say that you won't regret visiting it.

Lovely and educational museum with lots to see - not just Dinosaurs but different animal, people, mummies etc on 3 levels. 9 euros per adult but well worth a visit.

Although the displays are dated, there is a lot to see here that may be of interest, especially to children. This is a history of the biologic sciences, so there is everything from dinosaurs to rocks. One of the things I found especially impressive was their display of species in the main hall. There are literally rows and rows of... More

This museum is very, very basic. Don't expect much. The displays are very old, and not updated at all. The dinosaurs are almost all replicas. Most of the exhibits have no English information. For example, one of the exhibits (which didn't look temporary) had taped up printed out signs (see the photo attached) behind a display case. Come on, Frankfurt,... More

Went in July 2014, myself and my friend enjoyed it (in our late 20s) but felt there was not much translated into English! Great to see all the skeletons of dinosaurs and whales. Lovely to walk around for a few hours! Bad points for me were the lack of English translation, and also the heat was almost unbearable in some... More

I do like a good natural history museum. There was some amazing exhibits. The dinosaurs in particular...wow! They have a narwhal and blue whale (I think) skeleton as well as some pretty awesome/disgusing (depends on what you're in to) animal and human specimens preserved in jars as well as (I think) an introduction into the different methods of preserving specimens....
