I really liked this place: Just take a seat, look at the ships passing by and before you blink twice, an hour has passed already. If you wanna eat/drink something, you have many different options available. Just be aware, that you won't be the only person there.

Here are many boats for Alstertrips and Harbour-cruises throughout the year. A must when you are in Hamburg and very informative.

Piers are a mix of tour boats offices, restaurants and souvenir shops. Lots of entertainment but very toristic.

Don't go there. A big construction site made the area a big mess. Right now, the whole are around the Landungsbrücken consits of homeless people, abandoned buildings and the smell of, well, you can imagine. I don't know how the area will be after construction work finished, but right now the area is just bad. Nothing really interesting going on... More

Easy to access and also you can use a HVV day ticket on all of the routes from Landungsbrucken. Blockbrau brewery by bridge 3 for a decent beer definitely a big yes for people who like German beer although a bit expensive at 4.70 euros a pint.

Landungbrucken is a very touristic area where many touristic boats leave from. There are various restaurants and it is also close to the fishmarket on sundays. Worth a look, but it is not an extraordinary sight. It is also where the old Elbtunnel starts from.

My husband and I took about a 90 minute boat ride and really enjoyed it. It took us along to all the piers and showed us along the docking areas. It showed us how they load and ship the containers. We missed the English boat ride. Our ride was in German and we didn't understand any of it but we... More

Incredible combination of modern and old architecture. Lots of cozy bridges, cafes and city life. It is advisable to see the harbor area on bicycle (StadRAD Hamburg city bikes)

We took a 2 hour boat tour, but 1 hour is sufficient. We got bored the second hour. Especially because the information was only in german. Make sure to inform beforehand if tour is guided in english! The extra hour is used to see the containers, but after a while you've seen it. If you plan to take the ferry... More
