River views, souvenir shops, harbour cruises, and fast food stalls. Great for a walk along the water, and photo opportunities of the cranes and ships in the harbour.

If you have bought a one day ticket for the public transport....go for a cruise on the ferry and the bus 111. It is free with your day's transport pass and is lovely

I got off at the subway to be greeted by the famous bridge with the padlocks on it representing people's relationships. It was pretty cool. It is a good walk along the water with different little things along it. Restaurants and tours mostly... Cool views of the harbor.

We had an HVV day ticket which includes the ferry. We took the Ubahn to Landungsbruecken and made our way fairly directly to the waterfront. It was not too easy to figure out exactly which one of the watercraft was the public ferry. There are many, many tour boats, which cost a lot more, out there. We had a nice... More

This is a fascinating trip. The sheer scale of the Port of Hamburg is amazing. However, we didn't get the full benefit of the trip as the live commentary, which seemed pretty good and much appreciated by those who understood it, was only in German. This wasn't made clear to us when we bought the tickets, which didn't impress me.... More

If you are in Hamburg and want to have a trip with the boat, you don't need the facy touristic boats. Just take the public transportation boat and visit also the harbour on the way as the boat stops and goes very often. We stopped in the old port found a nice restaurant decorated like a beach and enjoyed the... More

This building and area is the 'bus station' for the local harbour ferries as well as tour boats and floating/sailing restaurants. There is also the historic tall ship Rickmer Rickmers which is a museum and cafe.

I really liked this place: Just take a seat, look at the ships passing by and before you blink twice, an hour has passed already. If you wanna eat/drink something, you have many different options available. Just be aware, that you won't be the only person there.

Here are many boats for Alstertrips and Harbour-cruises throughout the year. A must when you are in Hamburg and very informative.
