There is no better place to know the history of Hamburg. I liked the extremely friendly and informative guided tour.

I didn't do the official tour, just wandered in with some friends. Loved the stained glass, and my cousin's child was entranced by the fountain. Very neat for a quick peek.

For 4 EUR, you can take a 30-40 min tour of the interior of the Rathaus (City Hall). It is truly spectacular - lavishly decorated to impress guests, and still used by the MPs. Well worth the money, and the guide we had was fantastic. Tours are available in English and a few other languages. Check beforehand to see if... More

Love the history of this town hall. Very interesting place to visit. Bigger than Buckingham Palace, London. This place was par to the Sanderman tour of Hamburg

A very fancy building with an interesting story, which matches with the local history and development. The design remember me the tower of Marienplatz (Munich) and the square in front of it has some cafes and bookstores, where you can have a nice time. Highly recommended.

This is a very impressive building from the outside with an amazing amount of detail to nearly every wall and roof! I didn't have time to take the full tour inside but the entrance courtyard & lobby hall were stunning. If you like your classical architecture then I would think this is a must for your city visit.

When we realized there was an English language tour shortly after we arrived we decided to go for it. And are we glad we did. It was an amazing tour and an even more amazing and beautiful and historic building. A definite must in Hamburg.

we just came across this fabulous Christmas market by sheer chance as there are quite a few clustered around the city. Head for the town hall and you won't be disappointed! Truly fabulous, with Father Christmas Bon his sleigh, climbing up towards the sky , amazing! The stalls, the lights and the atmosphere was brilliant.. Highly recommend ..😊

Perfectly decked out for Christmas with breathtaking architecture. Only disadvantage was that no information on leaflets/located around the site was in English.

It was nice to look at the beautiful architecture, but no better than all the Town Halls in Germany. We were a bit miffed that we had bought a Hamburg Card to get a discount on the tour only to find there were none !
