Although it looks old it's actually not that old , but does look cool . You can take tours here. There was a few couples getting wedding photos here when I was here which was nice. The architecture on the building is stunning , I recommend you take time you walk around the building and look at it all .... More

I did not do the tour they offer but just from walking around it is an interesting building. Nothing to spend much time on though. If you're interested in doing the tour, it has to be purchased beforehand!

No trip to Hamburg would be complete without a trip to this wonderful building. We were here ,actually we had just been to PADDY'S BAR,and decided to go gere. The building itself is magnificent, especially the amazing water features and fountain's,the interior is stunning, curved wall's, brass fountain's very opulent interior. This town hall looks amazing at night when it is... More

In the heart of Hamburg you will find the very large and beautiful Rathaus (City Hall). This unique city hall is home to both the City Council and the provincial government that administers the German state of Hamburg. Richly decorated with statues and monikers of days past, the City Hall is worthy of any pictures of your visit. The plaza... More

Hamburg's stadthaus is stunning. In the winter, one of the largest christmas markets in the region takes place just in front of its gigantic doors. The stadthaus is a great meeting spot, is in the heart of the city, and will make you smile again and again even when living in the city. It's a sight you will not get... More

Though not really old (dating back only to mid-nineteenth century) and created in mish-mash of architectural styles, Hamburg Town Hall is an impressive building indeed. Even if you have very limited time to do sightseeing, this building is an absolute must. Even without taking a walking tour, it is worth to look around inside, to admire wide hall with colonnade... We took the guided tour round the grand town hall, which lasted for about 3/4 hour. The locals can be proud of their town hall, as one room after the other displays grandeour and self-importance. Rich tapestries and paintings together with fine furniture and decorations displays the importance of Hamburg and its harbour as the german gateway to the world.... More

The building achieves its purpose of telling the World this is a rich and successful City. Cathedral like both outside and in. There was a wedding taking place whilst we were there. there is a nice looking restaurant to the right as you enter, I think it was called Parlament? (spelt that way) There's a police officer on guard at... More

Very symbolic, and grand building. The surrounding area feels relaxed and is a nice place to just gather your thoughts while looking at some good architecture. Would recommend at least walking around the building fully once.
