If you go to Hamburg, you will certainly see the Rathaus. It's right in the middle of the old city centre and it's a huge, beautiful building. You can visit it, too. It dominates the central square, which is a lovely place too. Worth the time.

After we went into town hall we enjoyed a beer in the bustling square. There are several street food stands that have some great currywurst.

Take note of the gorgeous woodwork inside and the Hygieia fountain in the courtyard. More rooms than Buckingham Palace! No time to see them all!!!

If you go to Hamburg you gonna see the Townhall in anyway. Nice place to have a beer and eat some turkish-german food, like Döner and falafel. For photography is better to go sooner in the morning, you gonna find a better light.

Not just a landmark for Hamburg, but really a very beautiful and impressive building. The square in front somehow failed to live up to its full potential, especially in the evenings, when it's fairly deserted.

This amazing building reminded me to my home town's major's building. The door handles and the walls have also had Hamburg's symbol. Stunning place, must see. There are tours every hour and entry fee is very reasonable. One of my favourites!

Nice area with plenty of central bars and cafes around it. The building itself is typical German architecture. Very impressive and a good photo opportunity.

As a free city run by its bourgeoisie, Hamburg developed a reputation for being a bit sober-sided in its public buildings, but you would never know it from this place. Built in the last decades of the 19th century, the builders set out to emulate the opulence of the Renaissance. The result is an architectural showpiece which looks much older... More

It is well worth the time to book the tour and adjust your schedule to the tour's availability. I would say our guide's English skill was not the best and when members of our group asked her questions there was many times she didn't have the answer. Despite that the guide had enough information to fully describe the beautiful building... More
