The Rathaus, or town hall, is quite central in Hamburg so you will not miss it! It's a beautiful building, from both the outside and the inside. Worth a visit.

This building is absolutely beautiful. The architecture was definitely worth a stop to look at. This was right down the street from our hotel and we are glad we stopped by. It was not too crowded and we went on a Sunday.

The Rathaus is worth a visit just to admire the splendid and imposing architecture, but it also houses an engaging restaurant, Parliament, which is well worth a visit for its German food in an unmatched atmosphere. The bar is also beautiful.

The architecture is absolutely beautiful so it is worth the stop just for that. I didn't spend a lot of time here but the staff were helpful providing us guidebooks and answering questions for us. My great Aunt took us and it was amazing. Must see if you are into beautiful buildings and history!

If you are coming to Hamburg for more than a day, a guided tour of the Town Hall (only 4 eur) is a must. I have been to Houses of Parliament in London but they can hide behind the Hamburger Rathaus - place full of splendor, symbols and history... Do your spirit a favor and treat yourself with the guided... More

It was a nice building. The fountain outside was very nice but there was nothing really special to see inside. It was a bit fancy but built in the 1800s it was neither old nor spectacular. If you are headed to the Cafe Paris restaurant around corner then stop in, otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way

Our man Savage is contemplating running for Mayor of Hamburg. The wonderful front facade of this building can only be matched by the small square at the back, with the fountain. It looks as though you are entering a police station but do not be fooled.

It's an amazing building. I would have like to have seen more but even the public areas are very nice.
