Take a walk, feel the maritime history of Hamburg, capture some great photos, and go to Miniatur Wunderland. There are many cafes around. It can get quite crowded during peak tourism times, but nevertheless you will have fun. Search Miniatur Wunderland on tripadvisor , because you have to go there when visiting Hamburg.

The Hamburg warehouse district, also known as the Freihafen is an old part of the city that has in recent years been upgraded in some parts. However many of the old buildings have been kept intact. This is an interesting part of the city. Make sure to stroll along the Sandtorkai if you go.

This is an excellent place to visit: not just for the harbour sight but this area has been restored and remodelled for both working and living. A lot of effort (and money) has been pumped into it and it shows.

If you have an hour to spare this district is worth a walk around. It is full of largely simpler warehouse buildings, but when it's quite it takes on an atmosphere

A lot has been written about the warehouse district in Hamburg. We have visited other locations with more impressive architectural buildings. Perhaps the dull weather did not help, but I would not really recommend mthe location to my friends.

This historic area houses the warehouses upon which Hamburg's maritime history was built. Many of the buildings have been restored and many still house goods being traded throught theport. The best way to really appreciate the buildings and surrounding waterways is on a boat trip around the area, There are also many places of interest to visit in this quarter... More

Located nearby the harbour, the warehouses (or Speicher as they are called) represent an era that made Hamburg rich and famous. If you take one of the harbour cruises the small barks will also drive through the small canals. Don't just look but also use your nose: the warehouses still are being uses to store tobacco, coffee, tea ans spices... More

I read about this warehouse district in my travel guide. And indeed it is reallt worth to visit. The buildings are still in quite original state and tell the story of the old trading days of this port city. I loved it
