This is a lovely park. So peaceful to sit on the lawn and look out at the Elbe on a nice day. I didn't visit the Jenisch House or the Ernst Barlach House in the park ... but I'm looking forward to that next time I visit Hamburg!

Jenischpark is a lovely spot for weekend trips with a wonderful view of Elbe. You can also visit museums inside or have a cup of coffee at the cafe of Jenisch Haus. It is 15 minutes walk to reach from S Bahn stop at Klein Flottbek.

Being in the western part of Hamburg, which by itself is very green, the expectation from this park was high. However, I was really disappointed visiting it. I think this is the finest park in europe! The view to the river is unbelievable! The point of interest is the white jenisch in the center of the park.

This beautiful garden is worth visiting just for enjoying the landscape. But there is more, a secret gem: The Barlach Haus. There are bigger and better known museums in Hamburg. But there are good reasons that the author John le Carré, very familiar with Hamburg made this place a favourite retreat of one his heroes. A quiet place, a fine... More

Nice park along the Elbe with wide open space to let your eyes relax and next to the Elbe and harbor. Great spot.

Lovely old English garden, once belonging to a wealthy man called Mister Jenisch who built his classicistic-styled house with a view at the river Elbe. Go there for a walk, for jogging, for enjoying the café at the Jenisch-house or the art exhibitions at Ernst-Barlach-house (sculptures of Barlach plus special exhibits) or in the Jenisch-house (upper level). Please note that... More
