This place was something we had been recommended by another member of our family. But we had to try hard to find it. When we did, we weren't disappointed! The interior was really cool and old fashioned. The place had actually been a coffee mill/roaster, or something like that, and some of the old machines for that was exhibited. A... More

One of the most beautiful styled coffee rooms, we returned just once on this trip - previous visits we have enjoyed their freshest roasted beans on more then one occasion. This visit the service was a little ropey, and the drinks just OK - also seam to have a mice problem, we saw a couple running around late afternoon at... More

Really nice location in an old warehouse. The blackboard above the counter is filled with descriptions for what's available and it can be daunting to make a decision because it's in german, but I found it easier to just go to the counter and ask, and on both occasions I got good service in english. Both times I had strong... More

A very nice area in the port of Hamburg that features numerous old warehouses and beautiful architecture; suitable for a walk and finding a place to grab a bite and drink a beer. In the same area you will also find the Miniatur Wunderland museum, which I also recommend. So you can easily combine these two things on the same... More

Great location and a nice break if you're walking along the old storage buildings. You can customise your cuppa but bear in mind that it is all in German! You can also look at how the staff roast the coffee and take pictures. It's a gorgeous building as well!

Stuffed to the brim in midday on a Sunday with tourists & some locals, this is a nice pitstop in Speicherstadt for a bite and good coffee. The shop part was a bit small but had all the selections a connoisseur could want - and you can do your own mix.

Step 1: Go to Speicherstadt Kafeerösterei. Step 2: Order a slice of their cheesecake, and a double espresso. Step 3: Be happy. The menu as you walk in is not in English, so non-German speakers need to walk around to the side of the bar to view the options in English. Alternatively, just say "espresso" and point at the cheesecake:... More

In the old port area, in a historic coffee warehouse, is a real live coffee roaster where you can get a huge selection of fantastic coffees, home made pastries, waffles and snacks. You can watch the coffee being roasted in a lovely building overlooking the water, drink your coffee, have a light lunch and buy some coffee to take home... More
