Beautiful parks to visit in summertime, there is water everywhere and many big trees with benches in their shadows for a nice and peaceful break.

Between shopping and sightseeing we enojed some time in this wonderful island of plants in the middle of Hamburg. We know this kind of parc feeling from England, and were amazed to find it in Germany. People having picnic, reading, playing with children or dogs, just sitting and enjoying the water and plants. Totally relaxing and - if the sun... More

This is the most beautiful park in whole Hamburg! The flowers are beautiful and the the little lake with the fountain is the perfect place to relax in the sun. In the park is also a little botanical garden which you can enter for free the whole year!!

If you put all the park area together I will assume it will be as large as Central Park in NYC. It stretches out in a L shape crossing streets, but is build so you can tunnel or brigde your way round. Planten und Blomen is the peak of your trip here with loads of flowers and cousy places to... Visited last night with my husband to see the light show. Was super cosy and show was in German and English. Would love to go back and see the gardens during the day.

Beautiful flowers and plants, huge area, lots of opportunities for snacks, good connections to the subway, plenty of room for kids to run around and we were lucky enough to discover a free jazz festival. Great for chilling mid-sight-seeing and if you like flowers, some gorgeous displays.

We were staying at the Raddison Blu hotel right next door so it made for a very pleasurable place to take an evening stroll. The rose garden was beautiful in mid July but the wide array of planting will mean there is something to see throughout the year. Lots of seats to relax in and little paths branching off the... I have been to Hamburg many times and I can't believe I have not visited the park until now. It was much nearer to the City Hall than expected and it took me about 15 minutes to walk there. Or you can take the S train for one stop from the main train station (HBF) to Dammtor. It was a... More

We wondered and wondered through the park to find this wonderful light show It was raining and cold. We were going anyway. There were many wonderful spots in different areas of the park to enjoy the park. Benches and tables were placed just in the right spot to enjoy each area. We found the water show about 9:40. We sat... More
