This building was largely a place to store plants. The tour consists of a couple of apartments. It´s between San souci and the New Palace and can be visited on the walk between the two palaces.

The palace itself not very big open for visits. It;s a pitty that orangery itself is not open for the visits. Just some rooms in the palace.

The tour was a bit short but so many nice furniture and decoration inside, really worth the detour. would be nice if they opened the orangerie part so we can walk them. visit to the roof give a nice view.

This beautiful building is enormous and must be one of the largest orangeries ever built. It does not seem to be open to the public but can be viewed from the outside when waliking round the park at Potsdam. It is beside the windmill and is close to the Schloss Sanssouci

While we waited for our reserved our time slot for the Sanssouci Palace, we stopped by this Palace. We were able to buy tickets for the next entry time -- no long wait! It was just as beautiful as the other palaces in the Park, but without the massive crowds. The exterior architecture and gardens surrounding it are also not... More

This well worth visiting even if you don't speak German and can't get a copy of the English notes (I had no problems with either). To my mind it is more interesting and, once you get inside, more beautiful than any of the other palaces/museums in Sanssouci park (though I haven't been to Charlottenhof). As others have mentioned, the guide... More

You may be pressed to see everything s you realize you didn't allow enough time. If you're going to visit the Orangerie then do it right and take the well guided tour and go up in the tower to look out over the park and Potsdam. Allow 90 minutes, at least (the tour takes 30 minutes). What will you see?... More

As others have stated, you have to take a guided tour to go inside the building and I believe the tour is only in German (our tour was in German, but maybe they have some time slots in English?). This was quite strange as the group that were were in was about 25-30 people and it looked like only 5-6... More

Be aware you cannot visit this yourself and have to have a 30 minutes guided visit. They ran out of English notes sheet and I had to settle for French. I am still rather puzzled as to why the tour was in German when most of the group was not from Germany. It is not as if the guide did... More

We never entered the actual building itself, but just to stroll around in the garden and look at all lovely flowers, fountains and statues was wonderful.
