The tour was sold to us when arriving on the train station and seemed like a good idea................But that proved to be a disappointment. Though it advertises 'live' English commentary, the guide mainly gave long explanations in German, and at the start a very brief English version, but he completely stopped this when some passengers complained. The English version on... More

Enjoyable two and a half tour of the main three schloss of the city, the tour guide commented mostly in German but kept changing to English to keep non German speakers informed. There is also other languages on a headset available. Although the tour started from the main rail station, it terminated in the town centre to allow customers to... More

The 2.5 hour bus tour is designed for those that want to see nothing and are German. The live commentry is in German and it drowns out the audio tour in other languages, especially if you are unfortunately in the back of the bus by the speakers for the live commentary. The audio commentary was not in sinc with where... More

The brochure says this is 'hop on-hop off' but it isn't. It is a guided tour - you have to get off and on when they tell you. They shuffle you quickly from one place to another without enough time to see anything properly. There isn't even enough time for a toilet stop. The guide we had was very friendly... More

This tour redeamed itself near the end, when we visited the location of the Potsdam Conference, but the "quirky" bus is very uncomfortable, you can only sit down stairs if you need another language apart from German, because that's where the headphones are, and the headphone sound quality was so bad, we gave up in the end. Also, the English... More

My husband & I had arrived at Potsdam train station and were immediately approached by several tourist information guides. The guide with best English gave the whole spiel about their tour as opposed to doing it yourself on the free transport bus. We asked was it in English and was assured it was. There was no mention of the English... More

€13.50 with the Berlin Welcome card for a 2.5 hour tour yet I think it is a waste of money. We were not given the option to choose our seats on the tour bus thus we were placed downstairs, the layout of the ceiling limits your view of the window, you basically see the ceiling and other people heads. We... More

we were told by the tourist information office at the station that this was the only tour available and that it would be suitable for English language. The English language passengers were shoved in seats facing inwards at the back of the top, and given headphones. I tried 4 pairs before giving up. The verbal commentary from the guide was... More

We were talked into doing this tour as soon as we got off the train at Potsdam and paid 30 Euros. We were assured that there would be live English commentary, as well as German. The reality was that there was NO English commentary by the guide and the headphones (which were used and dirty) had strongly accented English commentary... More

We visited Potsdam for only a day. This is a tour designed to give you an overview of the city of Potsdam. It makes three stops- at the Neues Palais, Schloss Sanssouci, and Schloss Cecilienhof where you can get out and see (but not go in) to the palace locations. As other reviewers have stated, the prime language (live) is... More
