Nice building and zoo on sea

This is the only zoo which you find on the sea. Worth spending few hours or a whole day. If the weather is nice, the place offers quite a lot.

This is a small zoo with fairly small enclosures. We saw a polar bear, sea lions, penguins, other aquatic animals, and a few non-aquatic animals. There is a path to follow so you see all of the animals. We were there on a windy, freezing cold day (not recommended).

If you inside town, this place is a must. Only a view stepps from town, in front of the river Weser. Its smallbut you see many animals, most of them from the north. Its very excited to be close this icebears and others. So go there to enjoy this place with your family.

interesting set up of a zoo. Specialized in animals from the Northern hemisphere. Schools of penguins, gulls and loads of fish. Largest attraction a couple of polar bears. Watch them getting fed.

Lovely location, overlooking the sea. Wonderful for children because the enclosures are all glassed so that the animals, penguins, seals etc. can be seen up close and personal. Nice opportunity to see a polar bear. You have to follow a fairly narrow route, which can be irritating if very crowded. There is a lovely little play area for children which... More

Not the kind of big scale zoo where you get lions, giraffes, hippos, etc, but it was a lovely small zoo next to the sea. Loved watching feeding time for the otters. Lovely zoo, sensibly priced (21 Euro for a family ticket) and a great way to spend a couple of hours. Only drawback was the car parking- we went... More

Ever since I was a child this place was a must to see, back then it was the "Tiergrotten", and I loved the seals and its colleagues. Today the place ist the "Zoo am Meer" but it still emphazies on the animals of the Northern Hemisphere. You will find seals, sea lions, but also all those beasts living in the... More

Zoo is quite big and can't be made out from outside. But once you pass stages it's nicely arranged sections. Liked the polar bears lazing around and sea lions posing for great clicks and so much more. If you have time should not be given a miss.

Though it appears small from the outside, this place is packed with all sorts of animal varieties. Loved the sea life and includes land animals as well: foxes, leopards, owls, etc. Great for kids.
