It is a small zoo, but a very nice place to walk around and sit on the sun. Located by the sea. Its main attraction is 5 months old female polar bear cub named Lale.

Located immediately next to the Weser with stunning views in all directions, Zoo am Meer is a quintessential part of the Bremerhaven experience. We went on Easter Monday - a busy time but everything is so well laid out, it was still possible to walk round and see each section without having to queue. This is very much a family... More

Nice little Zoo! Great place to go with kids! Can watch feeding animals, play on the playground and have a snack in cafe! Reccomended!

A little zoo very child-oriented, with plays if they get bored of seeing the animals swimming around and a warm cafè for a coffee-needing adult!

I have been to quite a few large zoos and I still really enjoyed this small one. They had a good variety of animals and if you are there during feeding times (which are posted outside the zoo) you can get some really interesting pictures. I would go again anytime.

Titel says it all, good value for money compared to other german zoos. No reason by itself to travel to bremerhaven, but if you are there and have some time I recommend to go there

Very contained, and nice if you have small children as it is not so long as to get tedius for them. The canteen is also quite good. The area around is also nice to wander in for a short time.

Not the biggest zoo, but a quality attraction with loads to see, do and experience. Exceptionally well laid out with surprises around every corner. Children love it as there is so much for them to see and do. It is the attention to detail which raises this institution above its rivals.

I'm a strict vegetarian and complete animal lover so I'm always in two minds about zoo's. Are they good/bad - I just don't know. In one way, they are great as the animals are all safe, being cared for and not being threatened by us humans... On the other hand, it is not a very natural environment as the enclosures... More

If you have got a dog, take your puppy with you because it is really fun to watch the animals in the zoo and the reaction of your dog. With children off course the same. Even if you do not have children, it is lovely and interesting to visit the Zoo. Do not forget to drink a coffee outside while... More
