I didn't get to look around in the actual Old Town Hall, but I walked in here on a rainy day and found that they had an exhibit on deported Bremer Jews during WW2. Very impressive and gripping, even thought it's a light and airy surrounding. From the outside it's an impressive building, definitely worth the UNESCO Heritage List!!

The Rathaus (Town Hall) is a beautiful building with great history. The tours last about 45 minutes to an hour and are conducted in both German and English. I love the story of the cannons on the model boats being fired when there was a banquet and breaking the windows. Well worth visiting with some great wood carving

traveled to Bremen twice and have visited the Rastkeller restaurant inside Rathaus both times. We were part of a group which was feed buffet style. Excellent food! Very diverse food options and all were quite tasty. Recommended to try!

We dined twice in this restaurant. For dinner and again for lunch the following day. Good food in the cellar with enormous barrels separating different sections. There are also some quaint private little rooms for intimate meals.

This year, I visited Bremen four times. Each time, I have not failed to visit Markplatz and take a photo of the Rathaus. It is located in Altstadt, the Old Town. Take a tram 4 or tram 6 from Hauptbanhof to Domeshiede, 3 stops. Walk 50m past St. Petri Dom and you are in Markplatz. See it during the day.... More

Absolutely amazing town hall. So beautiful and so much history. The guide we had was well informed and very interesting. She spoke English, too, which we needed.

Interesting buildings, love the area at night when the floodlights illuminate the old towers. Enjoyed a glass of wine from one of the many white gazebos set-up during an evening classical concert. Full and live orchestra playing in the square, accompanied by floodlight and laser show illuminating the old buildings.

This area is the landmark of this city, so just fine to visit. Although not very special, it's a must-see.
