The Bremen City Hall is the seat of the President of the Senate and Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. It is one of the most important examples of Brick Gothic architecture in Europe. Since 1973, it is protected by the monument protection act.[1] In July 2004, along with the Bremen Roland, the building was added to the... More

I didn't expect a town hall tour to be particularly amazing, but I was wrong. It is full of fascinating things to look at and learn about. The guided tours all seemed to be in German but the tour guide repeated her spiel in English for us. Highly recommended.

The Life Boat Rescue Service were holding a display here to commemorate their 150th anniversary. Very interesting with models of various life boats and souvenirs to buy.

The most beautiful building in Bremen. Very old but stylish. Great to see at night with all magical city lights.

My starter of pork dripping and bread was absolutely tasteless, not like my mum's dripping sandwiches of old ! Then my main dish of plaice was - again - quite tasteless and when I mentioned it to the waiter he agreed that plaice can be bland and if I'd sent it back the chef would have jazzed it up a... More

It is situated in Altstadt opposite the Roland statue. There are two gorgeous cathedrals next it. There was a sea rescue equipment and information on display when we visited it. But I would recommend to spend a few minutes and enjoy the exterior of the building. It's really worth it - intricate patterns and ornaments, very detailed statutes and the... More

I had the luck to be invited to a reception in this truly wonderful building and I was stunned. The interior takes you back in history and bears witness of true artists and craftsmen.

Bremen town hall is situated in the old town next to the Roland statue. It is in a square surrounded by beautiful churches. In my opinion the Architecture of the building is more interesting then the display .There is a beautiful wine cellar in the basement that is worth a meal and it is not that expensive they have great... I read and listened to the story "Musicians of Bremen" when I was a little girl. I don't know how to describe this feeling that years years later I can be in this city to see enough things about the musicians. I was so excited about it. It brought back so many great memories about my childhood. It was not... More
