The free museum attached was impressive. Many artifacts from the Middle Ages. Presented in lovely displays. Very neat and orderly. Beautiful church.

A very unique building, with plenty of character, and historical background. I did not have the guided tour, but understand that the tour is recommended.

The two towers are quite imposing. Tall and proud like probably the forefathers who built the city of Bremen. Again, the stalls got in the way.

The St Petri Dom stands tall and proud on the Markplatz in Bremen. The two impressive towers can be seen from afar in the city. The Cathedral boast marvelous Gothic architecture. An absolutely fascinating building containing examples from many centuries. The altar has been turned sideways so that services can be more intimate which leaves the High Altar a bit marooned but it hasn't spoiled the experience of the building. So much to explore, we didn't have the time but must go back again.

Beautiful architecture and can only imagine how it looks at Christmas. Don't miss the view from top; pay €1 to walk the 250 steps up (very narrow) to the tower for beautiful views over Bremen including the Weser. When you are back down head to Martkplaz for a well deserved beer ;)
