I was there when the Christmas mart opened and returned 3 times while the market was in full swing. Lot's of food, fun things to see and purchase. I brough back lot's of christmas ornaments since they were so unique and reasonably priced. I would love to get the contact information of the person who was selling the ornaments.

The central square in Bremen's old town is perfect for a pause and a drink - beer or coffee. It's great to sit and watch the world go by here, from political protests to entertaining buskers, the world's al here.

This is a wonderful square that is equally attractive summer and winter and day, evening or night. I especially like this square late evenings after or during the rain. There are plenty for the eye but also good bars and restaurants. To me this is a German must.

Too bad I dont have the pictures from this place no more, but I will always remember it as fascinating and beautiful. Everything's so clean and people here are so friendly. I wish I could move here.

This is one of the most beautiful market places I know, really impressive. Not surprisingly there are two UNESCO landmarks here, the Roland statue and the town hall.

If you are travelling during the fall and Christmas season they have a market that is awesome. It is an open air market and has all that you can imagine from souvenirs to baked goods and lots of Christmas items for sale....

The atmosphere in the Marktplatz is great, enhanced by the fact we were there on Carnival weekend. Additionally the architecture of the square, particularly in the evening is an incredible sight. On top of all that, the bars and restaurants of the Marktplatz are of a fantastic standard. Go here!

Marktplatz is the jewel in Bremen's crown. The archictecture is absolutely fantastic. The Bremen musicians monument is located in this area. We had lunch in the Becks café and it was very good. The waiter was very nice and friendly

Bremen's Marktplatz is colorful, cultural and vibrant. At trip to Bremerhaven must include a trip to Bremen, its sister city. With its cottage buildings, music, and historical sites, pedestrian Marktplatz is the starting point of the Bremen experience. Don't miss the Town Hall with wooden ships hanging from the ceiling. You could spend the day in the Marktplatz, until the... More
