Of course you must visit the platz

A great collection of buildings. It is easy to become blasé about old buildings but as we walked the platz there were many that took the eye.

It feels like you are stepping back in time while you walk through the historic downtown part of Bremen. The old buildings are charming.

A great place to visit, with historical sites and modern venues all around the square. Lovely open air cafe to sit in and watch the world go by, while looking at the splendour of the cathedral and town hall. Even had street performers when we were there.

A Lovely spot to visit ,we went there on a sunny day early and got lovely pictures. Most of the buildings seem to have survived the war mostly intact or have been rebuilt very accurately from plans and photos. They have a very good Xmas market here in December which is well worth a visit. A great meeting point if... More

When you are visiting Hamburg and if your days are allowed, Bremen is a good choice for a day trip out. Tram lines #4E and #6E will take you from Bremen Hauptbahnhof to Domsheide(the Old Town and Dom). There are a few significant structures that were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage sites: The Town Hall (Rathaus), Roland, Ratkeller(the Town Hall... More

In overall a very nice place. Beautiful buildings, nice restaurants and interesting museums and exhibitions. And shops too. We spent several hours exploring this old part of Bremen.

You look around and it feels like beeing in the medivial times - a place ti be, to sit and think. The spirit is great, it makes you think and dream of the old times of commerce. You feel Hanse-atic in this Hansetown.

Soak up the atmosphere of the place and admire the buildings before poking about in the market and seeing what you find. Plenty of fresh stuff, and if you're a licorice lover search out the stalls selling every conceivable kind.
