We arrived in Berlin on a Monday and took this tour Tuesday morning. It was a perfect way to get to know the city, our guide Merren was wonderful and told us so many interesting facts about the places where we stopped. We went with our family of 5, including 3 kids ages 10, 13, and 15. They had smaller... More

Having travelled to Berlin for a short weekend away I anticipated that I would never be able to get around and see the sights in the time. Following recommendations from a few friends, I took the Day City Tour by bike. I can report back that this is the best way to be able to see all the major sites... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the Berlin Wall and Cold War tour that was conducted by Alastair. His detailed knowledge of the recent history of Berlin and anecdotes were imparted with a lovely sense of humour. The bikes were comfortable and the tour was conducted at an equally comfortable cycling pace. Highly recommended.

Earlier this month during a 40 degree Celsius heat wave, my wife and I took the Potsdam and the next day the Berlin City tour. The Potsdam tour was delightful with much of it off road through park areas. Lunch at the Augustiner restaurant in Potsdam was excellent (not included in price.) The Berlin City tour with our Irish guide,... More

I had booked a Segway Berlin Wall tour for Aug 26th in the morning, I expected to be in a large group but was happy to learn I was the only one booked for this tour, everyone else was going for the Berlin Monuments tour. After the compulsory training session / refresher course on the Segway, my guide Mariette asked... More

Such a relaxing tour. Made it easy for us to see the main sites in Berlin. I would recommend doing this on your first day, as you can then visit the sites you enjoyed for longer on the 2nd day. Routes are safe. Guides are great and knowledgeable.

When going to Berlin this is the first thing you should do. Our guide Tobi did an excellent job. If we had done the Segway tour the first thing when we got to Berlin we would have been able to use our time more wisely. This is what we are going to do whenever we go to tour a city... More

Did the bike tour of Potsdam with Bryan as the guide. Knowledgeable and friendly he took us around the palaces and explained their place in the history of the last 500 years or so. Nice easy ride.

It was a fantastic way to see the sights of the city. The Segways were so much fun to operate I was sad to give it back! I would recommend doing it at the beginning of the trip so you can go back and spend more time at the places you are interested in. Mariette was a super tour guide.... More

Excellent tour - well organised and our guide Randell was great. We did the ebike tour and it was only the 2 of us, so it was like a private tour. The ebikes were easy to use and we got to see so much., We had alot of fun as well as learning so much about the history and places... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
