We really enjoyed our bike tour around Berlin. Our guide was Julian from Toronto and he was very kowledgeable and made it fun. The City Tour is quite extensive and well balanced with cultural, WWII, and Cold War content. The cycle is easy. They gave me a tandem attachment for our 8 year old. Highly recommend.

We went on this tour recently and what a fantastic tour it was. Our guide Julian was full of knowledge and kept us engaged throughout the whole tour. The bikes were easy to ride and as Berlin is flat it wasn't hard work to ride around for a long time. Couldn't recommend this tour highly enough.

We had such a wonderful time on our trip out and look forward to going on one again in another city. Our guide, whose name I forget but who wore galaxy jeggings, was very knowledgable and added some fun. Her honesty about the city was appreciated too. A brilliant trip.

Having done bike tours previously, we booked online before we arrived in Berlin as we weren't sure how busy it would be and it is a great way to find your way around early on in your visit and decide which attractions you want to return to.. We arrived 15 minutes before the start of the tour - there were... More

Our tour guide, Craig, was very knowledgeable and led a well organized tour. We got to stop and see a comprehensive number of sights plus had a stop at a Biergarten. The bikes were comfortable and functioned nicely. It was a cold day (45degF) so they let us all borrow a pair of gloves. Overall a great way to see... More

At first I thought 70 Euros was expensive, but considering it was over 3hrs it was actually excellent value. Upon arrival you're asked to fill out the standard disclaimer form before having a training session on the Segways that lasts about 30 minutes. This was our first time on a Segway and it was really easy to learn how to... More

Under the guidance of Julian, three of us enjoyed the best tour ever. Never done a bike tour before, anywhere - Fat Tire were recommended by a friend who came to Berlin last year. We had a great time, definitely the best way to see the sights and to listen to Julian with his impressive historical knowledge of the city.... More

I was only in the city for 2 days so I used the tour on the 1st day to see what I wanted to return to on the 2nd day and explore with more time. The shop is at the very base of the TV tower and only a 2 minute walk from the train station, the tour started at... More

Hi chrishawk, Thanks for your visit and for your time writing a review- I am sorry to hear that the tour did not live up to your expectations and that you did not get the 5-Star experience that so many of our customers are so happy about. We do give a short intro to the city and our tour when... More

My husband and I booked this tour based off of a friend's recommendation, and it was wonderful! We got a lot of information about the major sights (we didn't spend much time at each, so if you want to look more closely you have to go back). Our guide, Julian, was fun and had great insight to share. He was... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
