I have studied Germany at university level and have a long association of with the country so it is hard for a tour guide to keep me engaged for a walk for a few hours, let alone tell me something new. Doing this tour with guide 'Rick' it is clear he really knows his history in vivid detail giving the... More

It was a fantastic tour with lots of very new insights. The tour guide (Nigel) was so enthusiastic and had a lot of in-depth knowledge. One starts to see Berlin with different eyes.

During the tour I kept thinking, "I had no idea". Seems my knowledge of the Third Reich is shamefully small. Jim was an excellent tour guide. He has a real passion for the subject that is backed my his academic background. He definitely inspired me to learn more about the history of both the Third Reich and World War II.

Our walking tour was a world-class introduction to Berlin! Our guide, Dennis, made the experience special -- surprisingly, the 4.5 hours flew by. As a history student and Berlin native, we couldn't have asked for a better (or more charming!) guide. Highly recommend Dennis and his fantastic, educational, and fun tour. You will see all the major sites, and leave... More

The walk was a great experience. Emily was a superb guide...just the right mix of detail and over view. We [5 of us] all felt we`d learnt a lot about the history of the city but in a very relaxed way. All the main sites are covered so there is the opportunity to decide which to re visit later in... Our tour guide (Jonny) gave us great insight into the history of Berlin plus lots of little insider extras. He was funny, the stuff he told us was communicated in such a way as to make it memorable and the tour was run at a comfortable walking pace. Highly recommend this tour if you only have a short time in... More

It was great tour to have introduction to the city and learn the history . We did two tours, the city tour with Mike and the Sachsenhausen concentration camp tour with Kevin. I give two thumbs up to both Mike and Kevin. They both shared their knowledge of the city and the history. We really enjoyed both tours. It was... More

This tour operator is quite fantastic! The tour guides speak English very well and are incredibly knowledgeable. The meeting place for some of these walks Hackescher Markt is fairly easy to get to. The Discover Berlin tour is quite good. It is much walking around some very important parts of Berlin and gives much insight/history into how things came to... More

We did 2 of the eight walks on offer by this company - the Discover Berlin walk (led by Alex La Rocca) and the Discover Potsdam walk (led by Jim). Both gave us an excellent insight into the history behind what we were seeing and enabled us to see far more in a day than we would have been able... More
