We took a general tour of Berlin with Brian Dietrich, who was one of the best tour guides we could have asked for. The tour was funny, sombre at times, and characterised Berlin perfectly. Brian was clearly in love with the city and wasn't afraid to bare his emotions for everyone to see, which made the tour that bit more... More

We just landed in Berlin and immediately took the "Best of Berlin tour" at 13:30 from the Zoo with Michael. It was a great tour which in just few hours gave us the essence of the city. It is a long tour and you walk quite a bit. The tour is in prefect English and it is very easy to... More

During our recent city break to Berlin, we took 2 of the Insider Walking tours, and that was probably the best decision we have ever made. The tours are extremely reasonably priced (c. €10-15, varying by tour, for a tour of around 5-6 hours), and led by absolute EXPERTS - not your usual student-abroad led tours. Wednesday 20th August -... More

We just finished the cold war tour with Barnaby. It's one thing to walk around the city on your own and see things, but a whole other to know the history behind some of the buildings, the anecdotes, the historical setups and context for things that happened. Barnaby did a nice job setting the scene, telling the story well, and... More

We took the 'COLD WAR BERLIN' tour with Maisie and it was great. The tour took us through all the main points of the east Berlin, the wall, the Stasi museum. Our tour guide Maisie did an amazing job, told a lot about the cold war era and took us to places you wouldn't have reached as a simple tourist.... More

After a "free" (i.e. tip-based) walking tour with Sandemans that left us feeling a bit unfulfilled, we decided to go for an Insider Tour, being that it was the top rated company on TripAdvisor. We did "Berlin Today" with Barry from Ireland, and it far exceeded our expectations. There were only 8 of us on the tour, which made for... More

I did the cold war walking tour with nigel and although I already had a semi exten knowledge of the events he did an awesome job. As the titel states the man was very charismatic and seemed to have a way of reaching and maintaining the interest of everyone involved. Definitely recommend it!

A very informative day with a knowledgable guide (Maria). Detailed guidance was provided re: travel (abc day or return pass). Would recommend this for anyone interested in knowing more about the details of these concentration camps. Hopefully after visiting these symbols of unimaginable atrocities visitors will be more cognizant of the plights of victims in recent times such as Bosnia,... More

I recently took this tour for a second time (1st time in 2000) so my 10 year old daughter could learn a little something about Berlin and it's amazing history. I had some concern that she might not endure the 4 hours of walking through Berlin but our guide Barnaby made it fun and it was no problem at all.... More
