One of my favourite breakfast places in Charlottenburg. This is the place to go if staying in Charlottenburg or being in the area. The milie is incredible: nice garden where you can enjoy your breakfast. The atmosphere here is extremely peaceful. Many locals go here! It was a pleasant surprise that they also have English newspapers there for customers to... More

Nice caffe, in the Literature house in Berlin. Specialy, if is in Spring or Summer, you can be outside, if you catch a table, not so many are available. The service is a slow. The menu options are good. The environment, is good.

This was our first post-arrival meal; we were definitely jet-lagged, so that should be taken into account. We were more interested in a modest meal and getting to bed than enjoying the overall experience. However, this was a very good meal at a reasonable price. We enjoyed the curry sandwich (very interesting), asparagus soup, goat cheese sandwich, and strudel. The... More

I had a late afternoon drink here, and was so impressed I came back for dinner. It's tucked away on a quiet street just off the Ku"damm. You can dine outdoors, in a glassed in "wintergarden" area, or indoors. I had a couscous, asparagus and smoked salmon salad that was absolutely delicious. Loved the atmosphere---very low keyed. Everyone else's food... More

This place is absolutely beautiful and the service was really great. The food was good but the breakfast portions were really small for the price. I would've even paid a little more and gotten bigger portions, as we were all hungry again soon after eating there. The (women's) toilets were also pretty terrible for a place as nice and expensive... More

We enjoyed the smoked salmon bagel, cappuccino and a mango milk-based drink. Service was excellent: friendly and quick. English menus available though we were able to work it out from the German. They only take cash which is common in Berlin so we were luckily prepared: we saw another English man have to dash to a cash point!

We came here twice for breakfast. the view is lovely and my husband enjoyed feeding crumbs to the friendly sparrows hopping around at our table. The staff spoke perfect english. I loved their chocolate croissant. Also one of their breakfast combos of scrambled egg atop a freshly made potato pancake was delicious. Since we do not eat ham, the staff... More

Nice place a few meters from ku'damm. Summer time a pretty small garden with some tables (that you cannot reserve). On a Sunday just got forever to get served (overall 2h00 for a simple main course and a dessert). Good chicken-fettuccine and tasteless apple strudel. Minimalistic service.

We dropped into this superb place tonight after a full day out in Berlin. We hadn't booked but were given a window seat in the main restaurant. The service was lovely from a girl who was a Berliner and spoke impeccable English. Thanks for that!! The food, ambience and surroundings were stunning. What a most beautiful house and garden. We... We visited for breakfast on a beautiful sunny morning. The building and surrounding area are stunning. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience itself was awful. Every item arrived separately and had to be chased after a long wait. We had finished our coffee before the bread rolls arrived. We then had to chase the cheese and sausage to go with the bread.... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
