Maybe that's just Berlin...we were disappointed by the graffiti and homelessness, but this park has potential! We took a boat around, and there were times when I almost enjoyed myself...:(

This is a little bit out of the centre, but worth the effort. If you have any interest in WWII, you have to visit this site. The soviet regime certainly know how to impress. Most visitors will never have seen a memorial on this scale before, and it is most certainly breathtaking.

Very organized park, even the trees are planted symmetrically. All the discipline and thrive for perfection of the old Soviet Union is felt in this park. The statues are remarkable, it kind of has a mysterious feel if you go there right before the sunset...

Have a long walk, a run, take your bike, get tickets for a boat ride… This place is stunning. One of Berlin's nicest parks.

There's not a whole lot else to see. Otherwise it's basically a more leafy version of Tempelhofer Park - a place for locals to relax away an hour or two. As others have said, it's not particularly close to anything. The memorial itself is a stirring reminder of the USSR, and looks very pretty in the afternoon. You have to... More

Although the park is a bit out of the way, it makes for a great stop especially if you're on bikes. You can combine a visit to the park with the East Side Gallery, which is located just across the Spree.

The park is just awesome! There's several rock monuments, the park around and it's in perfectly conditions! You shouldn't lose this attraction if you're visiting Berlin.

Located in a quiet suburban park in Berlin, this soviet war memorial is pleasantly laid-out and effectively detailed, especially the stone tapestries. I was fortunate to have visited on a sunny March morning and therefore able to stroll around the memorial at a leisurely pace.
