It was my first visit to Berlin and i was lucky to get entry to one of the most difficult to enter party club that too on the Halloween night. Entry fee was pretty cheap (15 Euros) and drinks were reasonable too. Techno music and the spree view just made the night. Just cant wait to get back....

Watergate was an absolute highlight of a recent trip to Berlin. Knowing it's reputation for quality, lovely location and great DJs we opted to go for here rather than Tresor or Berghain, the latter would have been pointless anyway. First of all, as others have said on here, you aren't gaurenteed entry. They were turning away groups in front of... More

My boyfriend and I have an incredible passion for techno and this was the main reason for us visiting Berlin! Watergate was on our list of top things we wanted to do! We looked into what the dress code was etc etc and followed the basics! However, we did not attempt to dress like how they expected, we still kept... More

I visited Berlin with some friends and the hotel we were staying in recommended this club. The taxi dropped us off outside but beware as gangs of people hang around under the bridge - they tried to get my friend's watch off the minute we got out the taxi! We checked some reviews and took the advice to wear black... More

well, it was a nice club. good located, great view, good music but I would suggested more selection at the entrance. it has became too much "commercial". it would be better to join it during the week

Unreal situations.. A woman on the entrance block italian guys. Considering that we were on vacation, good clothing style, she said we could not come in. Anyway police could be more with eyes opened, cause there are strange commerce in front of that disco..

Never have I been made to feel so unwelcome. I have been to clubs all round the world, Vegas, New York, London. Very pretentious staff.

Arrived 1am Sunday morning. Fairly reasonable queue of about 30 minutes. Whilst I and two others were able to get in I saw many turned away for no reason at all so be aware it's a coin toss. The door men are trying to take a leaf out of the berghains book but unfortunately the club inside doesn't back it... More

I am convinced me and my friends were refused entry because we were English. Me and a 5 friends were in Berlin for 4 days and wanted to go out for a night, eventually deciding on Watergate after a recommendation from a tour guide. We queued for about 20 minutes, then handed over our ID's and was spoken to in... More

After waiting 20 minutes in a line (it was snowing) we finally got there, The entrance is rigid, don't go on big groups! And for the quality is for sure not expensive, we paid 15 euro entrance and it was a big party with 2 international DJs, there it was like 6 euro a glass of vodka, gin, whisky. it... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
