It looks like nothing from the outside where the line is. But inside it has a great view of the Spree and the party is on from the moment the doors open (around midnight). Electro kind of music. 25-35 years target group I would guess. 15 euro entrance + 1 euro for jacket.

The bad reviews by people getting bounced make me laugh. If you can't get into Watergate, they did you a favor. It's not for stag nights or people wanting to get bottle service and stand in a corner leering at members of the opposite sex. This place is for getting messed up and dancing to amazing music spun by some... More

It's kinda sad how racism and discrimination is still usual on Berlin clubs, where they doesnt let you in just cause you aren't a blonde german. I don't even like electronic music, went there just because my friends wanted to, and experienced one of the worst nights of my life. Too bad it wasnt only this club, since i saw... More

Watergate has two floors with techno and electronic music and it is across the river. Opposite to it there is the historical site known as Universal Records. Sound system was decent, Djs were great and the view amazing. I appreciated this club and honestly I don' t understand why some people are so upset for the queue's policy. I didn't... More

I was there on friday, we've spent not a long time on queue, we were two person and we've not found any problem to enter: but I saw a lot of people being bounced while we were on queue. We've paid only 7 euro to enter, and the night has been one of the best nights of my life, good... More

I've read a few revies like this, but serioulsy, it's not a joke. I'm staying in Berlin as a tourist. I was with 7 guys and 3 girls trying to find a good club to party tonight. We headed to the Watergate club expecting to have some fun. There was no line to go inside the club (it was about... More

I was in Berlin as a tourist for a few days. On Saturday night (around 01.00), we went to Watergate with 7 male friends - splitting up in smaller groups - but were rejected at the door. The rude, female bouncer said there were 'too many men in the club' and asked what DJ we were there to see shortly... More

Watergate has the most amazing medieval feel to it, it sits on the water right by a bridge with turrets on either side. (hence the name) Massive glass windows allow for the most awesome view of the sunrise while you dance to the mesmerizing sounds of techno. World class nightclub!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
