Took trains and buses from Berlin and spent a day here. Not enough time there are acres of grounds to explore with palaces and buildings scattered around together with different gardens. In the winter not much colour and trees are protected but we'll worth the time we could easily spend a couple of three days here especially you go into... More

Acess to park is free, you paid only for parking (2 euro per hour) and also for tickets for visit for inside, but by my opinion it is not necessarily.

We took the train from Berlin to Potsdam city center. From there we would continue to travel by a public bus. But we didn't found the bus stop. Fortunately we met someone from a sightseeing tour. She offered tickets for a special rate. So we took the city tour. Glad we did that. There's much more to see in Potsdam... More

Great gardens with wide open spaces. It was really cold and we looked for a cafe where we could warm up with a hot coffee and a snadwich or soup. There were two! One was an expensive restaurant which was not suitable (although lovely for somewhere special) and the other, next to the shop, only offered a limited selection of biscuits... More

Beautiful was to spend a day even in the depth of winter. The only shame was that most of the outdoor statuary was boxed against the cold. Stunned by the sheer size of the place, take comfortable shoes it can be a lot of walking.

The garden and the area is very well organized and kept up to high standard, I would recommend it. Better during summer time of course, but we were lucky with the weather
