Avoid coming during the winter as it would be difficult to enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery which is surrounded by an extensive range of flora. The place itself is undergoing renovation and thus you will not be able to view the entire structure. Still worth going if you have the time.

There are so many statues in the gardens of the main 3 Palace gardens that they cannot be taken inside to protect from winter frost, so they are covered by timber hoardings. They must look great during the summer, will return to view at a more appropriate time. Even in winter the garden at Sans Souci looked great.

Loved it...very much reminded me of the Palace at Versailles! Nice self-guided audio tour! Entrance fee very reasonable and the guide person was great!

Well worth a visit. About 30 minutes by train from the centre of Berlin but a million miles away in terms of what you get out of the journey. Be prepared for a good bit of walking though and it will take you a good few hours to cover the entire garden.

If this is the palace, as well, then there was a lot of walking - but it was worth it.Loved the beautiful views & architecture - disliked the long treks.

Early morning in these beautiful gardens is like something out of Keat's Ode to Autumn- the whole Potsdam experience is so worth the trip from Berlin.

We visited this place on the first day of a three day trip and I have to say it was very average. I think it's okay if you are on a walk through to get to another destination but it's not somewhere I would go deliberately to see. It is quite small and a little sparse so I would recommend... More

We visited the Sans Souci palace in Potsdam early December. It was a part of an organised tour that we took at the train station. The bus left us there as a last station and unfortunately we had to walk for 20 minutes to find a bus station as there were no taxis there. We were not allowed to enter... More

As we were there in November, we were able to enjoy the superb autumn foliage; the gardens are extensive and very pleasant for strolling. We visited Neues Palais which was also well worth doing. I liked their audio system which didn't require those ear pieces which seem to be very common everywhere else!
