The New Palace in Potsdams gardens is a good 2 miles walk from the S bahn station in Potsdam. March is probably not the besttime to experience the flowers and foliage but even on a bright sunny day one can experience the magnificence of this park

Loved the castles, especially when covered in winter were lovely. Did not go in however, as we needed to buy a ticket and we were more keen to wander the outsides. Definitely had a great time here and took lots of amazing pictures!

Don't just go to Sans Souci or the Neues Schloss, wander over to the delightful Chinese Pavillion or just enjoy a stroll through this historic park with its truly royal proportions.

The trip to Potsdam takes about 40 mins on the train from the Zooalogical Gardens station. When you get off the train at Posdam take the bus tour just outside the station. Definitely worth every penny. You get a brilliant overview of the town and get to see the main attractions. You will not see inside the palace on this... More

Took trains and buses from Berlin and spent a day here. Not enough time there are acres of grounds to explore with palaces and buildings scattered around together with different gardens. In the winter not much colour and trees are protected but we'll worth the time we could easily spend a couple of three days here especially you go into... More

Acess to park is free, you paid only for parking (2 euro per hour) and also for tickets for visit for inside, but by my opinion it is not necessarily.

We took the train from Berlin to Potsdam city center. From there we would continue to travel by a public bus. But we didn't found the bus stop. Fortunately we met someone from a sightseeing tour. She offered tickets for a special rate. So we took the city tour. Glad we did that. There's much more to see in Potsdam... More
