Green and pure

It is almost all green, no other colors' decoration - I like this purity sense. btw, it is very huge.

The gardens, castles and buildings in this area are extremly nice. You won't be able to see everything in one day. Take your time to prepare yourself for the visit and come early in the morning!

Potsdam is where the German dream began and where in some ways it ended. The Potsdam Gardens with their various Palaces are a well conserved history of the foundations of the Prussian and subsequent German state from Frederick the Great to the Potsdam Conference which carved up Germany and Berlin at the end of the second world war. For anyone... More

Beautiful gardens on a vast scale. A sort of Prussian Versailles. Take time to walk through the gardens and savor the variety and vistas.

I went with my family, awesome landscapes. Castles and gardens with a really good maintenance. Everything is perfect, please don´t forget go with a bottle of water cause the 3 only ones restaurants there are going to sell it like gold.

These gardens are huge and are best seen for the first time with a guide and even them you will only see a small part.

Remember to chain your bike up at the entrance to the park, because you're not allowed to ride in there. It's immaculate.

Another reason for my return to Berlin, had only been there in winter. Wanted to walk in the gardens in summer. They didn't disappoint. Spent a whole day just wandering. Caught public transport, was superbly easy.

The grounds of Sans-Souci itself are beautiful; the grounds of the central line of palaces (from the Orangerie down through the bath) are nice, but nothing extraordinary; and the grounds around the westernmost part of the park are currently looking a bit ratty. It's a bit of a shame that you have to make the trip all the way to... More

If one has done any due diligence in prepping for a European trip one is already aware of Baroque palaces, extensive gardens, Parterres, fountains and huge cultivated vistas. At Sans souci. We indulged happily in all of that. The big pleasure, well worth the long walk at the end of the day was a visit to an historically correct Italianate church... More
