I went here just for drinks on a date on an evening in early June. We got the beers ourselves so no interaction with service. The location was great- the lights in the trees were lit up, there were people boating on the lake, there was some music in the background, and it wasn't too busy. To summarize: a good... More

Tonight I spent two hours at the Café Am neuen See - what a location in the middle of a 4 mio city ! I could have sat there forever enjoying the sun and the atmosphere with many families and lots of international guests. I was a bit disappointed about the food, maybe because I opted for the Leberkäs and... More

Quite frankly, I have never before felt obliged to leave a negative review for any restaurant but the service my friend and I received at the Café am Neuen See in the Berlin Tiergarten was so shocking that I have no reservations about leaving a *scathing* one. The service was absolutely below par in several ways: - When asking for... More

The outdoor area in summer is a great place for a beer or pizza, but expect to pay for the location. As for the indoor restaurant, the location is superb, right beside Neuer See. Everything else is a disappointment. Service from staff is abrupt, do not expect service with a smile. Quality of food does not match the price. Not... More

Went for dinner and enjoyed it enough to go back another time for breakfast, all reasonably priced. Simple tasty food in a nice environment. It was very festive with candles and holiday decorations and roaring fires. Staff were very helpful with our non existent German.

Great location. I'd recommend the cafe for pizza and beer, and self-seating. We went to the restaurant section and had to talk the hostess into seating us at an open table. Menus all in German and wait spoke little English. (I certainly don't hold this against them but it made ordering a bit harder for us.) Food was OK. All... More

The restaurant is set on the edge of a lake and is beautiful at night. The beer garden is enormous. The staff where friendly but the food was quite poor. We didn't return.

We stumbled across this hell hole on a walk, On first appearances it looked brilliant, pretty location by the lake and in the sun, How wrong I was.... Filthy, Rude and Overpriced! I have good gasp of the German language, we ordered 3 coffee and 3 cakes, The coffee arrived 15 minutes later but no sign of the cakes, another... More

The place is amazing, in a big park near the lake. It is very cozy and the atmosphere very relaxed. The design of the restaurant and terrace was really nice, elegant but not over the top. Food was amazing, we had prawn starter, pizza and chocolate mousse desert. So was the wine we chose, very good. However a BIG MINUS... More

It's a little bit hidden. There food court is not fancy by far. Dont wait for the waiter. 4 sort of beer. So simple and inexpensive.
