Lovely place for a beer in the sun, choice of a few different beers, and a few wines. We had food in the restaurant, which was not great, 1/2 chicken was tasteless and slightly cold and the Tarte flambée, (Alsatian pizza with creme fresh ) was undercooked. So go for the beer in the sun, avoid the food ( or... More

The location is very nice next to the Tiergarten and the Spanish embassy and I believe it has seen better days before. The food is average, looking on the quality the price is slightly high. What was really annoying for me was the fact that I had no luck with the cleanliness. My cutlery and my glass was dirty and... More

I went here on a Monday afternoon, during the summer after visiting the Zoo. There is a lot of space, sitting on a beer table or chilling on the wooden lounge seats. It was self service, 0,5 L beer ?4,40 or pizza/pasta ?8-10. Also some deserts like waffles or cake/ice cream. I had a pizza with a very nice thin... More

Went here with family and friends over the weekend... Its a great beer garden in the Tiergarten. Its a bit rough and ready but we had an great time chatting, drinking and munching on pizzas.... There is also sand pit which kept the three young children we had with us entertained for an hour or so before taking them out... More

one of the nicest beer garden in Berlin if the weather is nice, see and be seen. Also very nice breakfast on sundays in the Cafepavillon inside, good decoration. This place is an institution for Berliners and a nice visit for visitors.

a failry secluded lake in the vast, verdant expanse that is the Tiergarten plays host to a selection of outdoor bars and eateries/snacks. Once you have collected your choices you can pull a metal garden chair and enjoy the peace and people/duck watch.

With an amazing lake as the view you can have a nice meal and drinks in the middle of a beautiful park. You can rent row boats as well

Nice place to spend an afternoon with friends and drinks in the sunshine, people spotting and enjoying the view of Tiergarten.

Called in here for an evening meal as we were nearby, great food in a nice spot next to the lake, got the log burners going after a while and it was lovely! Would recommend!

We arrived here early as we had heard that you could participate in curling. The man setting up explained we would need to return in two hours which we Duly did. We were then told that the place was fully booked and we would not be able to have a go. Bearing in mind we had walked approximately 5 miles... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
