We had dinner in the Grosse Orangerie and heard Mozart afterwards. It was an enjoyable evening of history, performances and music. The dinner was better than I expected for such a large crowd, with good service by staff and actors in period attire. The meal was accented at various points by announcements and performances by the actors, adding to the... More

With almost an hour to spare before the performance, we spent the time admiring the formal gardens extending behind the palace. The designer had cleverly combined English-style beds of colorful flowers along the edges with swirling patterns of white and brown gravel within the grid. Inside, the musicians, the master of ceremonies and even the ticket-taker and usherette were clad... More

What an amazingly beautiful place. The history, the architecture, the gardens!!! What more could a traveller ask for. The decor and furnishings are absolutely gorgeous. I especially love the China room. I've visited many times and can't wait to go back.

Absolutely lovely dinner followed by Mozart Concert at the Palace. Period dress throughout and very well done. Lived the whole thing. 7 of us had a great time. As we had come straight from the Spree Cruise we were a little under dressed but that dipdn't spoil anything? We had a great time

A fantastic beautiful place to spend amazing time enjoying a nice spectacle together with a superbly set dinner in a special ambiance of old elegance and new touch. Very special and memorable way to spend an enjoyable evening in the German capital.

I went to a Mozart concert with period costumes in the Orangerie - a memorable experience. The only problem was finding my way in: Schloß Charlottenburg has a very long front, and there were no signs to the entrance for the Orangerie (on the left as you reach the end of Schloßstraße).

I had a VIP ticket for the Tour, Dinner & Concert in Charlotteburg with my partner on 14th march 2015. The concert was this: http://www.residenzkonzerte.berlin/english/concerts-und-tickets/masquerade-venetian-temptation.html The service at the Venue was out-standing, we were greeted with the unbelieavable hospitability and everything was as perfect as you could imagine it can be. Food was great and the actors hosting the whole... More

we travelled on the train out to Charlottenburg where if you want, you can visit the palace. However the Orangerie which is part of the palace can be visited separately and they serve really lovely traditional German food.

We booked a package (tour of the castle with an audio guide, 3 course dinner and classical concert). The tour was interesting and not to long, the castle beautiful. The dinner took place in a wing of the Orangerie in a very nice historic Prussian setting. Food was average, though. The musiciansand singers (in historic costumes) were very talented and... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
