Today we went on the new Berlin (sandemans) free walking tour. Our guide Sam was excellent. He was a wealth of knowledge re the history of Berlin. Plus he presented it in a very engaging and informative manner. Also enjoyed his sense of humour. Would highly recommend this well run tour company. We have been on free walking tours in... More

We had a free walking tour of the less touristy areas of Berlin, where we went to places that we definitely would not have visited had we not done the tour. Our tour guide Lynn was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful and also gave us just the right amount of information at each stop. The information she gave was very... More

3 friends and I took this tour as part of a visit to Berlin. Starting at the Brandenburg Gate, we took the tour around key sights in Berlin for about 2 and a half hours. Our guide, Lewis, was brilliant, he was knowledgable, friendly and helpful and made the tour so great. This is a great afternoon in Berlin, if... More

I heard about this walking tour from a girl that was staying at my hostel. I was so pleased that I decided to do this tour! Sadie was our guide for the day and she was amazing. You meet at 11 am at the Starbucks in Pariser Platz. The tour itself is 3 hours long, and you are able to... More

This is the best way to learn about the incredible history of Berlin, see all the major sites and meet other travellers too. It really opens your eyes to all that has happened to this city in quite recent times and makes you reflect hugely. A must do!

As it was our first day we decided to take a walking tour to acclimatize ourselves with Berlin. Leen our tour guide did a great job and also offered an amazing restaurant recommendation. We learnt a lot of the history of Berlin, whilst visiting all the major sites. I would certainly recommend this!

The tour worths it. You get to know the city, the sights, history and information. Geroge, an American guy, knows his stuff and is smart, funny, excellent in communication. However, I totally disliked the fact that his point of view and his "lectures" were full of propaganda against Communism-Socialism and pointing out Capitalism-Democracy (I still try to figure out why... Took the walking tour from Starbucks in Pariser Platz. Our guide, Sam Noble, a Brit, was amazing and fun. Went with daughter and granddaughter - it was fast-paced for an octogenarian but was so glad I did it! Sam's love of his adopted city, where he is a PHD history student at Humboldt U., enhanced the tour and helped all... More

I have never been on a walking tour before but this free tour surpassed any expectations we had. Our tour guide, George was incredibly engaging, succinct and interesting and we saw all the main sights we wanted to see, with the help of his well-informed insights and infectious enthusiasm :)

Our tour guide Zabi was an absolute boss! Didn't expect much at first, but it ended up being so good, I still remember his name a month later. He had a clear mastery of the history of WWII and the Cold War and events leading up to both as well a calm demeanour which made the stories that much more... More
