If you want to drink something different in berlin you must stop at hops and barley! Here you can drink a brewery weiss, dunkel and pilsner that are extremely different from all the other( bottled )beers you find in Berlin. The cider is really good: I''ve never drink something like that!

This place is great - excellent homemade beer, good service and not too expensive. Stop here for a drink or three.

Micro brewery on a strange location. This is a perfect place to have a beer and talk to real Berliner. Our German is absolutely not good, but we talked with the locals about all the ingredients of the locally brewed beers. So relaxed. Try the "Spezialbier", we think this can't go wrong if you love good, tasty beer.

Definitely worth a stop if you like great homemade beer! My friend and I made it a point to find this place and we were not disappointed. We tried a few of their beers and none disappointed. The hefeweizen was especially tasty and I also really enjoyed the pale ale on the menu. It was full when we visited but... More

Doesn't look much at all.( we nearly missed it as we were there 20 mins before opening ). Old glazed wall tiles and simple bar and tables set up. Nice, knowledgable staff who even managed to explain that the home made cider/apfelwein was DEFINITELY not like 'Strongbow'. That was a relief. It was Like alchoholic freshly squeezed apple juice. Lovely.... More

Make time to visit this excellent microbrewery while in Berlin - you will not be disappointed! I'm not the biggest beer drinker, but if I lived here I would be a frequent guest!

We were taken here by our friend who lives in Berlin after he had told us about the great beer. Super atmosphere, brilliant beer, no matter what kind we tried. It was a really cool setting and although this is a brief review, I can't say a lot more than this place is great and try it, if you're in... More

Excellent quality beers with a seasonal beer always on tap. The play soccer games and on Sunday evenings, the popular German crime sitcom Tatort.

I had little time so I only tried a small wheat beer which was fine. A great place to meet for beer. However, don't expect to eat here since they only serve a snack (sausage with mustard and ryebread/swartzbrot).
