This place offered a few beers (Pilsner, light, dark, and a speciality Pilsner) that were tasty and super cheap. A small was 2.10 euro. Be prepared to have no room to order at the bar. At night it was really crowded, but you can stand or sit outside and there is a room in the va m.

As east Londoners we are used to good microbreweries and ale pubs, so were looking forward our visit. However the ale selection wasn't incredibly vast (comparative to any London pub). This said, the Pils was lovely. Even though were two younger girls, this was not my first time in berlin, and I can speak german. The staff made us feel... More

On our last visit we were here on a Saturday evening and the brewpub was bouncing but come to think about it i dont recollect this brewpub ever being quiet. We walked in... More

I have been coming to Hops and Barely for over a year now. It's a quaint, cozy place with extremely good house brewed beer. The prices are great with pints around 3 euros and there is a small assortment of bar snacks available. There are 3 or 4 beers to choose from, along with a house brewed cidre, and a... More

two friends and I enjoyed two beers each here last week. It's very dark and snug, and it fit the image of Berlin in my mind. The beers was delicious, and the sausage plate was good too.

Visited after 5 pm on a Friday afternoon, a nice bar, with plenty of choice of beers. Reasonable prices. If I was around the area again I would go back.

Had a great time. Their collection of Beer is good ranging from Weiss to Dunkel to different flavours as well. The ambience is superb too. The prices are very reasonable. A great place to spend an evening with friends. They have a special flavour every week, just check out the black board for the same.

In Friedrichshain, you will will find this little peice of heaven. world class craft beers, brewed on the premises & great value too. We had a melon ale last time were there. Always visit this place when in Berlin. Will be back in January for another visit. Great atmosphere, great, informed staff. Brilliant.

Just like the title says: it's a cool place to hang out with friends. Just having a good beer, have a chat about the week and go home. If you're a tourist: grab a beer and go dancing at some other place.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
