Walking distance from Brandenburg gate, this park was very relaxing to walk through. Bike traffic was so so, but enjoyed a nice long peaceful walk without being hounded by selfie sticks or bums.

This has to be perhaps the most beautiful, tranquil, spacious inner-city park in the world. It really is huge and has pockets of such exceptional beauty it seems crafted by heaven. Best time is in autumn or spring when the sunlight streams through the trees and leaves. This is quite a breathtaking sight and experience. Small ponds, paths, memorials. Perfect.

This place is just too big. You can never miss it but frankly I lost my way around it and found nice garden and very relaxing. A lot of nice comical statues inside the garden. It is difficult to find the places I want to go but easy to find nice places when i am "lost"

This is a huge park that is nice for walking or biking. There seems to be a lot of garbage collected here.

It is a nice park and right in the centre and near the Brandenburger Tor and other famous places + the zoo is in one corner of it. We enjoyed the walk in the park.

Central victory column is a nice climb for great views across the city. Vast area right in the centre of the city, contains the Zoo and aquarium too. Beware during august, nude sunbathing seemed to be the norm in certain areas, fine by me but probably not suitable for young families, just keep yours peeled.

The quietness in a noisy city center, and the lung of an active body. It is a super place to walk or exercise, and even more, an amazing passage between Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate.

We came here several times during our trip to Berlin and enjoyed it every time. The beautiful greenery of the Tiergarten feels like a sanctuary in the middle of the concrete city and makes a perfect location for a walk or bike ride. Inside the Tiergarten, there us a lovely lake where one can hire a rowing boat for an... More

If it's a nice day, head to Tiergarten and have a wander around. The paths are well marked and easy going, so you can spend an hour or more just wandering the grounds. There are beer stops along the way, and lots of others doing the same thing. Lots of dogs are walked around here, so if you enjoy seeing... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
