This lovely big park provided the ideal place to relax with a walk or cycle during our stay here. The crisp Autumn air and carpet of golden leaves made this a real highlight of our trip. Only shame was that there was no nice cafe to enjoy.

Everyone riding bikes through the garden on the way to work or just for relaxation. We enjoyed the Schleusen Krug Bier Garten on the west end of the park. Sculptures throughout, Memorial on the east end.

We stayed in the quiet Embassy area close to several museums so it was lovely to have the opportunity to stroll through the Tiergarten with its formal and informal gardens after the hustle and bustle of Berlin. This is a huge park in the middle of Berlin and central to everything. Whether you stroll in it with food so you can sit and eat amongst the lush greenery, or walk the park for exercise, its is a beautiful place to visit. Rent a bike and see it that way to cover the most ground in one visit.

This park is huge. We visited it during the 40th anniversary of the reunification and its main street housed the festival. The park contains many walking paths, a zoo and other historical structures and monuments.

Take a stroll through the Tiergarten. It is way too huge to see all of it, so just pick a corner of it and take a walk. My favorite sector is the one near the Zoological Gardens.
