I love this beautiful park

Besides the nice woods and landscaping as well as the water and birds, there are statues and graveled and paved trails. Nice for walks and rest.

Very pleasant stroll through the garden, lots of statues and things to look at, bit sparse in March, but I imagine plenty more shrubbery in the summer. There did appear to be men loitering about certain areas towards dusk, so we stuck together and made for a cafe!

What other town has this much open space right in its heart? Only Berlin and it is a sight to behold.

We were part of a bike tour that cycled through the Tiergarten a few days ago. The weather was glorious, bright and sunny, just a light wind and we all loved it. We'd been to the Tiergarten before but many of the other had never been and it was such a shame they couldn't spend more time here. It's so... More

The park is huge and it's pretty amazing that is located in the western part of Berlin. It is beautiful and reminiscent of the hunting area. The nature is beautiful, full of greenery and channels.

Every great city has one of these, London's Hyde, New York's Central and Leicester's Victoria the Tiergarten is a green oasis where you can step out of the City and into a peaceful zone for reflective time or just to do your own thing. Criss Crossed by paths and roads the centrepiece is the Victory Column which when lit up... More

We cycled and walked through on different occasions. A nice (if rather busy at times!) haven in the centre of Berlin. Lunch at a café was enjoyable and reasonably priced. Be aware the convention is to walk or cycle on the right when busy. A good way of getting between attractions including the Zoo, Siegessäule, Bundestag, Jewish memorial, Brandenburg tor... More

Now beautiful parkland, trees, small lakes and pathways. Right in the centre of the city. The zoo is at the western end. A super place to walk and contemplate.

Tiergarten was a great afternoon adventure - ample walking trails to explore. We had afternoon tea in a cute little cafe by the lake - open fire inside would be a lovely spot in winter and the outdoor tables great for summer. Too cold for picnicking while we visited but we enjoyed a lovely walk through the gardens and exited... More

This is a huge garden with lots of peaceful walks through it. It does, however, have very busy roads too, which I hadn't expected. Definitely worth spending some time walking, though can catch a 100 bus, which passes through it, so the 'sights' can be seen, though this would miss the whole point of a garden, I think.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
