There is always such a great vibe from Prenzlberg as the locals call it, you can't help but feel at home here. You can find some amazing shops here that sell anything and everything, also they have some of the best turkish food in berlin here!

As quoted above, this is one of the average parts of Berlin, if you will walk down, like other places, you will see normal stuff, shopping complexes, health clubs, restaurants and so on..

We were here on a saturday and loved the nice market. It offers really nice food but also funny presents. It seems to attract people from all over Berlin who enjoy the foodstalls and atmosfhere. Not very cheap but very nice.

Amid all of the concrete and glass, Prenzlauer Berg is a lovely old tree lined neighborhood full of restaurants and bars. We had 2 excellent meals there, both italian, great value. We just happened to be staying nearby, but it's well worth an excursion otherwise, it's very near the tram line.

Prenzlauer Berg, or Prenzl´berg as the locals call it, is in my opinion by far the nicest neighbourhood in Berlin. When WW2 ravaged most of Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg was spared. And after the reunification billions of euroes have been spent on renovating the old, beautiful art nouveau buildings.

Great Farmer's Market was happening in June when I was there. Apparently Bill Clinton ate at 'Gugelhof' while there years ago. Pretty synagogue gates; old buildings; nice restaurants. Definitely check it out.

Directly north of the Hackesche Markt area, this neighborhood is worth a visit. Previously a working class district, the area is now full of interesting shops, as well as some great cafes and beer gardens.
Walk along Kastanienalllee, the main road, and you'll come accross two great places to stop:
