We were here on a saturday and loved the nice market. It offers really nice food but also funny presents. It seems to attract people from all over Berlin who enjoy the foodstalls and atmosfhere. Not very cheap but very nice. More

Amid all of the concrete and glass, Prenzlauer Berg is a lovely old tree lined neighborhood full of restaurants and bars. We had 2 excellent meals there, both italian, great value. We just happened to be staying nearby, but it's well worth an excursion otherwise, it's very near the tram line. More

Great Farmer's Market was happening in June when I was there. Apparently Bill Clinton ate at 'Gugelhof' while there years ago. Pretty synagogue gates; old buildings; nice restaurants. Definitely check it out. More

Directly north of the Hackesche Markt area, this neighborhood is worth a visit. Previously a working class district, the area is now full of interesting shops, as well as some great cafes and beer gardens.
