Impressive collection of Marlene Dietrich's costumes are the centerpiece of this museum. This museum is very accessible and keeps you moving over several floors. I was also surprised to see some information on Leni Riefenstahl, the Nazi filmmaker who evidently is the German version of DW Griffith (i.e. talented director self-tarnished by the work that made them famous). From the moment you enter this museum it is an amazing experience. You immediately feel as if you are entering a movie...everything is high tech and organized. It begins with the German inventors of movies to the more well-known producers, directors, writers and actors many of whom fled the Nazi's and worked in Hollywood. The Film Museum is a must-see for any fan of German cinema. After purchasing your ticket on one level, you take the elevator to the museum entrance: a black and disconcerting hall of mirrors that effectively starts the sensory experience.
