Try the coladas

Found this place by googling 'Best bars Berlin' and this place was among the top 30 bars. Who knows what they paid to enter this list. If you are into artificial tasting drinks, this is your place!

Stopped here for aperitivo and were really appalled by the poor service. The place was not very full and there was adequate staffing but yet we waited for a long time without getting served. Finally we had to order at the bar. Our appetizer was ready before our drinks, and they didn't even bring it to our table, they called... More

A good list of cocktails. The most we tried were good, some where great and some where a bit odd. If you have a sweet tooth try a few of the coladas, the variations may seem strange but they were excellent! Try for the outer room, the inner lounge was a little bit louder.

This bar is geared up for tourists, however there is a good happy hour (till 9?) where all cocktails are under 5 euros. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is an extensive list of all types of cocktails. We tried about 4 cocktails each and each was professionally made and tasted good. There probably are better cocktail... More

Went there on a Saturday night on the recommendation of a "leading tourist guide". Left after two drinks. Rather spacious rooms, but completely empty on a Saturday night. Needless to say, no locals at prime hours is the best sign that this place is not popular. Drinks were nothing special, for Berlin nightlife avoid this place as there are many... More

I visited the Bellini lounge one evening before a night out. This was a big mistake. The cocktail menu is extensive, but the barman I encountered was not just humourless - I found him to be extremely hostile. The cocktail served was mediocre, I decided one drink there was enough and to then move on to somewhere with a bit... More

Bellini earns the title "best bar in the neighbourhood" not so much due to its excellence but more to lack of competition. There are only some more or less touristy restaurants and some oriental shisha bars close by. The drink menu is deep and should satisfy all your drinking needs. Prices are high for Berlin standards but okay for the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
