The attraction is well designed, there are different themes of seal life to be seen, the lay-out is good, the whole set up is however small and there is just not enough to see for the money you pay, the Aqua dome, a sort of round aquarium with a center lift is not as spectacular as they make it sound.

The AquaDom is wonderful be sure not to miss it . You may have to queue for a while and it may not last very long but is well worth it. The rest of Sealife is very good having been used to a marine one it was interesting to see how they delt with this in City a ,long way... More

The Sea Life is very well designed and has a couple of interesting tanks. It's not a big aquarium but it's fun and interesting. A bit pricey thought for the length of your visit. Highlight of Sea Life is the lift through an enormous aquarium tank, its also the center piece of the Lobby of Radisson Blu. When we visit... More

It is supposed to be the largest free standing aquarium in the world with more than 5000 sea animals. The highlight of the trip was a trip in the glass elevator through one million litres of salt water & swarms of tropical fish & along the way pass through the waters of rivers Spree,Wannsee,Elbe & the north Sea coast & finally... Small aquarium with a feature glass lift tat takes you through the centre of a tank of fish which was impressive but brief and not very informative. Great girl looking after starfish. Tanks a bit small and featureless and company shouldn't let people handle starfish.

Well stocked, with many interesting species in a lovely building. Like most aquariums though, I did find the entry price expensive when compared with the length of my visit.

Visited with my 5year old son - he seemed to enjoy it but was a lot more impressed by the Lego tables than the exhibits. The aquadom was enjoyable. I didn't visit the Berlin aquarium so can't compare the two. Nice gift shop though, and the staff were very pleasant.

This was very well set out. Children and adults alike will love this. The lay out is superb and there are some very unusual 'exhibits'. The tanks are clean and the variety of species is first class. The lift in the huge tank which forms the centre part of the Radisson Blu Hotel ground floor is a must. The part... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
